"Great shooter, needs a remake and a sequal"

Ok i bought this as one of my first games back in 1997. I still play this game and yes it is addictive. I find it to be more of mix of the now adays shooters you may have heard of but all merged together. Ones like the timesplitters series, Quake series, Unreal, and Return to castle Wolfenstein.

Gameplay 8/10

my opinion on the gameplay for this game, is good. Yes it can be better but yet its good. You dont jus charge into battle going trigger happy. You Do things more tactical. Same with bosses. You cant just use a cheat to get rid of them you have to find a way to kill them. Another feature i found real nice is the ability to shoot off Limbs and heads.

Funfactor 10/10

This game probably one of my oldest games i have on the computer i still play. I do prefer it more than the Doom series. Levels are really well designed to keep you occupied, might get you frustrated but thats ok. If you also need to take out your frustrations, This game is the one to do it on lol.

Controls 9/10

Control is very responsive with this game. Very very customizable. i dont see really improvements that are needed for the controls. though its keyboard and mouse only.

Features (possible spoilers with cheats) 10/10

The feature i find really great about this is that the cheats are really easy to put in. you can also set the respawn rate from 1 second to 600 seconds for every enemy you kill. Also you can reanimate the enimies if you want to.

Enemy Varaties 10/10

this game has a nice selection of enemies, and yes they can get rather challenging like the ones with a homing rocket launcher. then you have ones that fly. There are also ones that are undead such as zombies and skeletons. you have mutants. and many others.

Weapons 9/10

Yet there are only 8 weapons. But each weapon is different. You have a rifle with unlimited ammo (weakest weapon but still nice) to a gun that shoots off a grenade like ammo that flashes and killes everything in its radius. but then you can also lay down Land mines, which is fun to do as well. i could go on about the others but i need to start to wrap this review up.

Final Grade 9/10

This game is real nice to play. IMO it is my top fav PC FPS. Nice story as well. yes i would recommend anyone to try this game and have them tell me what they think of it.
