Far Cry
Review by GTA Assassin X
"Farcry the most stunning and best game ever!"
Ok I'm going to start out by saying if you're expecting this to be like the demo well... its a piece of...
...AMAZING WORK!!! This is way better then the demo. Levels don't lag or anything on most computers! And online is beyond words!
Story 10/10:
I love the story! You’re Jack and you and your ''Friend''(girl) get separated and your ship gets blown up. You're trying to find her. And that's all I can say without ruining it!
Graphics 10/10:
When I first got this I was expecting to run it low settings and have glitches boy was I wrong! This game is smooth and I can now run it on HIGH settings!
Graphically this is the most beautiful game I have ever seen! You'll spend more time in shock looking at all the graphics then playing! With this is mind your also on a bunch of jungle islands. So don't expect the enemies to be out in the open! The graphics are sharp for everything from characters to guns to the game itself.
Only thing if you HIGH SETTINGS and MUSIC and the max everything I suggest you have a powerful computer because this game is made for power.
Music/Audio 9/10:
The music is awesome and is the 2nd game I've ever played where I like the music on! The sound is awesome. You feel as though you are on a jungle island! The only bad thing is the enemies keep repeating the same line over and over and over and over!!!!!!
If you have surround sound and EAX prepare for the most real game ever!
Controls 9/10:
Controls are perfect and can be customized anyway!
The bad things are allot of buttons and grenades aren't part of your GUNS selection so you have to program separate buttons.
AI 10/10:
If you are sick of games like Splinter Cell where you can stand in front of enemy and that cant see you or games like
That then play this and experience what AI should be like!
Even on easy this game is hard! Besides the fact that AI patrols their own areas and drives wherever they want if they hear any noise they'll investigate it, and if they see you..... Well hope you got allot of ammo!
You'll notice allot that they'll call for backup work in groups and hide behind rocks and actually be smart! IT'S AMAZING!
Game play 10/10:
The game play in this is a cross between Splinter Cell meets Metal Gear meets Jurassic PARK!
You have two basic game play ways. Stealth or Rambo style. If you want to go more stealthy you use rocks to distract enemies, hide in bushes, swim around and basically take longer. If you go Rambo style you just kill everything you see and most likely will die ALLOT!!!
Sometimes though the game can get too much because you cant see enemies and you'll get shot!
Replay Value 10/10:
Definitely repayable! You can play this over and over and most likely it wont be exactly the same. There are lots of paths or ways to get where you're going.
Multi player 10/10:
WOW! The multi player unlike the Single Player never slows down because there is no AI to process! There aren't allot of maps yet but the ones that are available are amazing. You can play with up to 32 people (some servers) on an island and get no slowdown or lag.
Best thing is the game doesn't let cheaters or people that have game illegally connect to servers!
Pros & Cons:
Pros:
-Amazing graphics
-You feel like your really there
-Nice selection of guns
-Great rag doll and deformable terrain
-Did I mention amazing graphics?
-Multi player best ever
-Download more maps from official site later
-Mod's mod's mod's!
Cons:
-Cant save game when you want (but patch adding save feature)
-Slow on some computers
-Older cards have problems with game
-Some small glitches
All in all most cons are being fixed by a patch anytime now!
Over all 10/10:
Best game ever in my opinion! Besides the stunning graphics the game is fun to play and leaves you playing it again! And if for some reason you get bored you'll get attached to the Multi Player.
