"One of the best"

I'll make this short. Read the other reviews for a more immersive review. What I have to add that some of the other reviews over looked is this:
The physics of the game are unbelievable. You can shoot just about anything and it reacts (like Max Payne 2). For at least five minutes I was running around shooting boxes off crates and cans off tables.

However, one of the COOLEST things that I have yet to see in a FPS is the ability to shoot through some walls. I was in a bamboo hut, and I was ducking behind a bamboo wall under a window. And I was being shot!!! I looked around and didn't see anybody, and that is because the AI was shooting me through the wall!!! So I just shot back through the wall and killed him!! Not even Hollywood has figured out that bullets can penetrate walls. Very cool.

The AI is very keen, some of the best since Half-Life. Every fire fight is different. They like to run around and hide and seek, though sometimes they tend to be looking the wrong way in a fire fight and get shot by me.

One of the things I DON'T like is the hit detection. I don't know if the guns I was using were not that accurate, or if the cross hairs have some degree of ''play'' (like Call of Duty), but there were a few times when I was prone and had my cross hairs all over some bad guys and I wouldn't hit them. Even though I was damn sure they should have been shot. This may seem picky, but since the AI is soooo tough, sometimes it's frustrating when you got 10% health and you die when you shouldn't have.

I really love the environment -- all the foliage makes cover easy, but it also makes it tough to spot enemies (though they spot you easily enough with your bright red Hawaiian shirt on). I also like the piggies that run around. My only question is, where is the fish? The water is beautiful, though.

Vehicles are fun to drive, though to be honest, I'd rather be driving a Warthog to any of those sand buggies or hum-vees any day.

All in all, I agree with most of the other reviews on this page. The game is great, and if you are chomping at the bit for Half Life 2, this may give you the fix you need.
