Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing
Review by Atomsmasher
"Craptacular Factor: 9"
Holy moly, what is this game made of??? You can't win. AT ALL!!! Well, most of the time, you DO win, as your '' opponent'' has an IQ of triticale. Either that, or he's not even IN the truck. You win every single time, until the last level, where the game locks up. EVERY TIME!!!. Like I said, the game is horribly rigged. The cover is more interesting than this game! Talking about the cover, it has a cop car on the cover. I see no cop cars whatsoever. I don't blame them, as I would rather get a donut and chill than chase a truck that seemingly rewrote the laws of gravity. Anyway (I'll get on to the reviews soon), this game is a torture device. I wonder if it is in the Guinness World records. It most certainly deserves it, as it has to be the worst game. Ever. I'll even recommend Barbie Game Girl over this. Barbie Game Girl and Big Rigs seem to be polar opposites. While in Big Rigs you can never lose, in Barbie Game girl, you can never win. Odd, huh? Well, as I had promised before, I shall proceed with the review and the garbage that is appropriately named Big Rigs. ( NOTE: I AM NOT BASHING THE GAME. I AM TELLING THE TRUTH!)
Gameplay: 0
There is no gameplay at all. Did Stellar Stone even THINK about what a real game needs? I don't think so, as everything in this game reeks, stinks, sucks, err, bad. Do you get my point? There IS a good part to this game, it's just not this. I don't know if Stellar Stone tried to make this game easy, but it's too easy. The AI doesn't move, and there is a patch that allows the truck to move. VERY SLLLOOOOOWWLLLYYY!!! Grrrrr... you can't lose, even then, because the truck stops right in front of the finish line.
To add, you seem to go through everything. I know trucks are strong, but you pass through things as if it were a hologram. And then, the game proceeds to give you a trophy with the worst grammatical error ever '' You're Winner.'' Do you feel like a winner? I didn't think so. And then, you have to proceed on to the next 4 levels. Enjoy the next 3 (if you can) as on the last level, the game locks up. Always. See how Big Rigs is rigged. You can never, ever, ever win. On the last level, anyway. The first 4 levels you always win. Always. You can never lose.
I got a story for you Girl Scouts: Once upon a time, there was a game that kicked Barbie Game Girl off the throne of the ''Worst Game Ever''. The End.
The meat of the game is rotten. Period.
Sound: 2
The music may actually be the best part of the package, even if it does sound like Donald Duck on helium covered over by crappy techno music. It only has 30 notes, and then repeats all over again. Still, the music still has some beat going to it. I think you will enjoy the music more than the actual gameplay. The music is actually GOOD IMO, but not up to today's standards.
Control: 2
A head- banging, blister-inducing torture ride. People like us should be paid for this. It's pretty funny, as you go from 0 to 90 in nothing flat, seemingly go up vertical walls with nothing holding you back, and you can even go off the course. Not like that's any fun, because as I had mentioned before, you go through everything. You don't even stop correctly, and if you go in circles, you go at Mach 6 and crash the computer. How does a truck reach 500 mph? Unreal.
Graphics: 1
Not good. Not good at all. An infant can create better looking pixels in this game. Balance in this game is also nonexistent. You can literally FLY if you do something correctly. Everything seems to be a hologram in this game.
Buy or rent? BUY! BUY! BUY AND BURN THEM ALL!! I smell something in the kitchen tonight. Heh, heh.
Overall 1.25
Not a good game at all. It belongs in the toilet, for all I care. Buy them and burn every copy you see. I mean it. Burn them all. Leave no trace whatsoever. And thanks to GameFAQS, I can't give it a zero. Oh, sorry, that was a compliment.
There are so many things that you can do in your life; this isn't one of them.
