"Now where is that golden fleece???"

I've got this game for like three years and I used to play it a lot back then. Now I will do my best to review it. Here we go…

Story:

Jason is on a mission to retrieve the golden fleece in Colchis to become the king. Not quite original if you hear it this way. The story is based on an ancient Greek story. I like the Greek version more but this version is also alright but still too short and unexplained.

Graphics:

The graphics aren't that beautiful. For a game that old, it's still reasonable. You can see the differences between your different ships. But the graphics can quit get repetitive, which is sometimes annoying, but still you can live with it. But after thinking it over, they are simple. But hey, they work for me so, I don't care.

Sound / Sound effects:

The music is really adventure like and really sets the mood. But just like the graphics, they can get quit repetitive. But they are also reasonable. And it also works for me.
The sound effects are good, but they could have done much better. When your boat attacks a guardian tower it makes a sound of a drum (?!?!?!?!?). But they are still okay , NO THEY ARE NOT. They are terrible.

Gameplay:

This should be very good for a strategy game. And it IS very good. You build fishing ships, which go and get ore or fish. You build building to upgrade your ships. You build those upgraded ships and attack your enemy. Okay, I know, it is very cliché but hey, which strategy game isn't? But still, it is well done and fits perfectly together. I'm very happy with this part. And the missions as well. They get bigger towards the end. (And also more difficult). And they are very well designed. It gets a nine from me.

I played it before and I played it again recently. And I still enjoyed it like I did in the good old days. So, yes it has a very high replayability value. So Mikkel gives it an eight.

I don't know if you can buy this game, because I got it for free with something, but if you can buy it, buy it!
