Titanic: Adventure out of Time
Review by gamegirl
"Can you change history?"
Indroduction: The game starts off in your London, England apartment in 1942, right in the heart of World War II. As you look around, you learn that you were a former British Secret Service agent, whose career was ruined on board the Titanic. Suddenly an air raid siren goes off; the bomb hits your apartment building, hurling you back to April 14th, 1912, the night before the Titanic sank. Can you change history before time runs out?
Graphics: 9.3/10
The graphics in this game are stunning. I really felt that I was in a seedy London apartment, Titanic,s Turkish Bath, Gymasium, and it's state rooms. There is lots of detail in this game and if you click to get a closer look on things, you would think almost that it was real. What prevented me from giving the graphics a 10 was that other than the charcters of the game, the passengers of Titanic looked all alike. There were basically 5 different men, and 2 women. Other than that, the graphics were excellant.
Sound: 10/10
The sound effects are great. They sound like what there supposed too and I found that if you moved farther away from a sound, the sound got fainter, it didn't stay the same like in most games I've played. And if you were on the left side of a sound, you heard it more on the left earphone.
Gameplay: 9.2/10
The controls of the game are fairly basic. The mouse is your hands and the arrows are what move you around Titanic. Some of the puzzles are fairly hard and there are several hidden ways to die, even if it doesn't seem obvious so beware!
Replay value: 7/10
The replay value of Titanic is pretty high, you can always try to screw up and see how the rest of the game goes. There are many ways to play the game. I am still finding new ways with mine. There is also a tour feature so you can learn a bit about the ship before or after playing.
Overall/Conclusion: 9/10
This is a very well thought out game with great gameplay and stunning graphics. If you like hisory, adventure, and stradegy, I highly recommend this game.
