The Elder Scrolls: Chapter II: Daggerfall
Review by foodpoisoning
"A game with a lot of potential..."
After playing Morrowind, I decided to get the prequels to it since it was good. Also I had heard that the world size was 2x Great Britain and took 2 weeks to cross . Now I'm going to babble on about the pros and cons of this game.
Anyway...back at the farm...

Graphics:6/10
Well the graphics aren't great in comparison to today or even back then. The graphics kinda look like Doom but the buildings are actually 3D. The people are still 2D though. The graphics are still functional.
Sounds:7/10
No music here and pixelated sounds. The sounds actually aren't too bad. Birds chirp, swords slash, fiends die. Although when the ghost in Daggerfall yells "VENGEANCE!" it's kinda spooky! It just makes you wanna go "AHHHHHHHHHH!" or "EEEEEEEEEK!"
Gameplay:9/10
MOAN! This game is massive and there is so much to do. You first create a character with a very advanced character creation system. I think the system may be better than Morrowind. Anyway then you have to do this starter dungeon which is a pain at first but it gives you some good startup experience, items, and gives you a good feel of the game before you go out and get yourself killed. Once you leave the dungeon you are allowed to go anywhere and do anything. The game has SEVERAL THOUSAND CITIES *MOAN*. Choose a city and get started. You could steal stuff there, murder, get random quests, join a guild, buy and sell stuff, buy your very own ship horse or house, or progress with the main storyline. Outside of the thousands of cities are thousands of random dungeons full of treasures and beasts waiting to be slain! Have fun becoming rich in power and wealth as you go through this game. Unfortunately this game is very overwhelming and I found great help from these two sites. http://www.jceason.dircon.co.uk/dagger/dfindex.htm

Just on a last note this game is very buggy (hence the 9) so save often.
I suggest getting this game anyway possible if you liked Morrowind or if you like very open ended games with infinite gameplay. If you prefer straightforward games you may want to avoid this one (or use the guides).
This game is hard and with its weaknesses I give this game an 8. They seriously need to consider using similar ideas for TES 4 including the big world and the infinite quests.
