Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Review by SJEZealot
"Good free fun!"
To start, there is no reason not to get this game, it is fun, it is good, and it is free.
Gameplay: 9/10
It is only multi-player, there is no single player. This is team-based combat, where it focuses more on a team completing a set of objectives, rather than just shoot bullets at the enemy all day. Although there are many maps that can be completed by an experienced engineer and covert ops, the style of play makes for good fun. The servers range from large to small, I have seen as many as 64 players in a server, and the more players, the more fun. The game is not realistic in itself, guns do not have extreme recoil, and you can jump 10 yards if you do it right, but it is real enough to enjoy. The best part of the gameplay is the pace of the game. It is extremely fast paced, and be prepared to die very much, as many games result in constant artillery and airstrikes on your spawn.
Graphics: 7/10
While the graphics are not incredibly great, they run smoothly easily, and they are good enough for me a many gamers. The main thing about the graphics is to remember this is a free game. Explosions are mainly big, orange blobs, the character models are not extremely detailed, but everything is recognizable, and it's a pretty enough game.
Sound: 9/10
This game has very good sound. Artillery explosions and airstrikes can be heard across the map, guns are loud, and the voice chats sound good. In a game with many people in it, it will sound like a real war, planes flying overhead, artillery painting the ground, and calls for a medic everywhere. Overall, it has good sound.
Overall: 9/10
It's a game worth downloading if you have broadband, and the fast-paced gameplay can keep you interested for a long time. Great free game.
