"PC Mystery at its best"

In 1912, the world was shocked and horrified when the Titanic, the biggest and most luxurious ship afloat, hit an iceberg and sank into the cold Atlantic sea. For nearly a millennium, it has been the most read, the most studied ship wreck in history. But one thing people always wonder is "what was it like to be on the Titanic?" In Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, the game answers that all encompassing question.

Done in the same type of flat 3D graphics as popular PC game "Myst," "Titanic" throws players into the past, and on board the legendary liner. Two ways of play are available: Game and Tour. Take the tour, which gives you almost free range of the entire ship. Interact with several characters from the game, who relay to you information and quips about the history of the Titanic. After the tour, get ready for a fast paced mystery game like no other.

You begin in an old, run down English apartment during WWII. All of the sudden, German planes bombard the city and your building, sending you back in time to April 14, 1912. Here, you begin your quest to set right the mistakes you made in the past, and help try and save the future. Along the way, you meet with several characters who can aid or hurt your chances of success.

You have an objective: find a copy of the Rubaiyat, a quite valuable book of Persian poetry which has been stolen and placed somewhere on board. Yet you can branch off into different stories, from an old girlfriend in trouble, to helping an immigrant family find something they lost, to helping a photographer get his life in order.

All the while, the sound is impressive. The words are clear and the speech intelligent. The musical score is amazing, almost on par with a major orchestra. Intricate puzzles await and various jobs help in your quest to finish your assignment and perhaps to prevent dark days in history from ever happening.

The controls are easy, the mouse is your hands, and the arrow keys are your feet.

"Titanic" sets itself apart from other mystery games with intrigue, suspense, mystery and a terrific plot line and script. Don't hesitate to rush out and see for yourself why it is definitely one of the greatest PC games ever made.
