"Best First-Person Shooter ever, dethrones Q3A"

When Unreal came out, it rose to become one of the best shooters out there (not to mention one of the most graphical/textured games). Now Unreal Tournament (UT), which ISN'T the sequel, is out, and seriously, this game's probably gonna be the best for a long time, until maybe Half-Life 2 comes out. Rest assured, you won't be stopping your UT sessions for some time. Unlike Q3A which is mindless and repetitive, UT's strength is that Epic emphasized on single-player AND multiplayer. That makes UT have a great advantage over Q3A, 'cos most people nowadays got high ping/latency...

If you're talking about gameplay, UT ain't lacking. So many options to choose, especially when botgaming. In single-player, which is the 'Tournament' mode, players battle it out over five different modes, and will battle the boss when you win all. You get something, but I'm not telling. Go buy UT, or sell Q3A and but UT. Gameplay is what you did expect from a good FPS, pure and fun all the way.

Control, yeah, you need lotsa control. Set your controls nicely, or else you might have troubles dealing with the easier bots (yes, the 'easy' bots are also tough a bit). Movement is fluid, and shots are accurate at most.

When talking about graphics in the Unreal series, its something just too good to be told about. You just gotta see it by yourself to believe that even Software (built-in renderer) can produce awesome effects. See it yourself, there's no other way to convince you.

Sound is also NOT lacking. Every single bullet hitting flesh will be followed by pain shouts, or a death cry. Music spices the surrounding atmosphere by a tad, and the taunts are hilarious to hear (while maintaining the ironic theme).

The one low thing is, this game's requirements is quite high, but since computers these days are cheap (especially RAM), upgrading won't be a big problem to most.

My advice, buy Unreal Tournament. BUY it, NOW. Scour your neighbourhood shops for a copy (functional of course). And be prepared to stick to your chair for hours, if not days...of Unrealism!
