"The Worst Game of It's Class"

Introduction

Let me start out saying this game is confusing, stupid, and a waste of money. If the game starts to make sense to you, then you are a gifted person.

Game Play: 1

The game play is terrible. The fighting never ever happens. You are isolated on your little island and the most fighting you'll do is shoot a deer or sink a ship, if you get that far. The basis of the game is collect resources, which takes about five minutes to get one wood, and houses cost two. Then, you have to stretch your civilization out to the mountains, and collect stone, which also takes a long, long time. Then you have to get every single resource in the world, and a fire happens one after another. Sure, you can make an alliance, but trading is confusing and a war will not do anything. One good part of the game play is the diversity of cultures. You can meet Eskimos, Native Americans Africans (why, I'm not sure) and all other types of people.

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics are the only strong point in the game. The graphics are actually very decent, with everything very realistic. The buildings look nice and this game does excellent with the water, which is usually a weak point of these kinds of games.

Sound: 9/10

This game offers a huge collection of music, and it is all fairly good. They are good tracks for this kind of game, a boring little village in the middle of no where. But seriously, the music is good. The voices are good, if it wasn't the same guy doing all of the voices of the soldiers, tutorial guy, and the guy who informs you what to do.

Difficulty: Hard, Hard, Hard

Don't get me started. The easiest form is hard, and I have dare not tried the hardest form, or anything close to that.

Like all strategy games, this game doesn't have an end.

Buy or Rent: Neither

Stay away. You won't want to have this game. It is terrible. The reason it got above a three is because of the good graphics and sound. This game will bore you to death with the constant boring economy and the fact that you will never fight unless you torture yourself with 12 hours of constant playing and pupils that cover up your entire eyes. The game looks nice from the menus and the cover, but the best word to describe this game is: Trojan horse.
