If you were wondering what is Athens 2004?

Athens 2004 is the Olympics, the olympics held are an event held every four years with 35 different sports. This game however only includes 8 sports even though it has 22 events. For me this is well all right, as they have got all the main events including Track, Field and Swimming.
Athens 2004 is therefore based on a real thing.

Graphics

The graphics are top noch for this game. All the people are so detailed and realistic (excluding that about 75% of the men have tattoos). The graphics for this game are in my opinion are the best graphics for a sporting game on PC.

Controls

The controls are easy and good. All you need to press is Control (right), End and Page Down. The controls for the 2nd player are not so easy the controls for player 2 are W, S, A, D, E, R and G. So the controls for player one is easy. But for player to the controls are fairly hard.

Sound

The Sound for this game is average the is simple Olympics music which is not surpising cause after all it is an Olympics game. In the events however all you can hear is the announcers booming voice and the crowd screaming behind him. This again is not bad because after all it is an Olympics game. The commentary repeats itself a lot, so it could be better.

Lifespan

The lifespan for this game is 3-4 weeks for regular gamer. Because all you must do is try and get gold medals for every event. But for me I love trying to break World Records and Personal Bests. For me it's about 3-4 months but of course I visit a go every now and then.

Story

The story of course is one thing every sports game lacks a little bit. So for people who need a fantastic story this is not the game for you. But I like to think of it as for every gold medal you win you get a better and better sports person.

Rent or Buy

In my opinion Buy which I did.But if you are a really really really hardcore gamer you should be able to finish it in a week so in that case rent.

Overall
So overall I found this game every fun (probably just cause I am a huge sports fan) but you make up your own mind. But if you are a massive sports fan (like me) you will love this game.
