Disney's Toontown Online
Review by UltimaGamer25
"The fun, cool, and family friendly game of today."
This game, is in my opinion, a great way to get those kids off of you about "Hey, what are you playin' dad? Can I play?" while you're playing Half-Life 2, etc.
Story:8
Welcome to the wonderful world of Toontown, where toons rule, and you can do anything you want! Until one day, when the evil robots, called Cogs came, and they took over toontown, turning beatiful and bright toon buildings into ugly Cog Buildings! So now, it's up to you, and your toon pals to save Toontown. Ready your pies, seltzer bottles, and other toony gags for battle, because Cogs can't take a joke, so if you make them laugh they'll blow up!
Graphics: 9.5
They're great and they fit the style of the game itself. They're not exactly the best you'd like to see, but they don't hurt your eyes, and they overall, as stated above, fit the style of the game.
Sound/Music:6.5
This game has to have a few flaws, right? Well this, my friends is one of them. The music all around, is slightly, below par. This is one where you might want to turn the music down, folks. It gets annoying after awhile.
Gameplay:10
The game plays great, except for a few bugs, but thats the cool part: you can get caught in glitches all the time! Anyway, the gameplay is great and appealing to all ages, though not to all different types of gamers. The game has absolutely no 'kill stealing' because you can just run into a battle and join it, which especially helps with the wanted audience.(Kids can become frustrated and not want to play if you're fighting and someone just kills the enemy for them, and steals their experience from the kill at the same time. i.e City of Heroes etc.)
Communication:9
As this is an online game, you have to communicate, right? Well that's speedchat. Because this is a kid's game, you can't talk to each other with your own words. Instead you use speedchat, which are preset phrase you must use unless you get a secret friend by trading codes. After getting a paid account, you are able to get a 'secret code' by going into a certain menu. You'll get a 6 digit code somewhat like this: abc def and you'll have to have a friend enter it to be able to freely chat together.
Extra Features: 10
There's lots of other stuff to do, like go to your house and order items using the currency: jellybeans, yes, that's right, jellybeans. Anyway, you use your jellybeans to buy furniture, speedchat sayings, and other miscellaneous things.
Replay Value:10
Disney's always putting new things in the game, and that's great for frequent players.
Gameplay Type:Turn-Based Strategy and Teamwork
Payment:5$ for your first month, and 10$ or less (you can choose a payment pattern and some have discounts) for every month after.
Good Buy?:Yes, The 10$ or less (depending on different payment types) is definitely worth it.
