R.O.S.E Online (Rush On Seven Episodes)
Review by HitmanOutbreak04
"Oh my god, another mmorpg... oh my god, it's actually good"
If at any time a person may look upon the online world and see it overated and a bit misleading to the varying causes that reflect upon the whole as a gaming society and community... crud should've just said this game rocks
Anyway, ROSE is not at all like your run of the mill mmorpg, to the new coming gamer, they will see it as just another game to play, but to the hardcore online gamer, they will see a very different aspect which is misleading to them and totally skewed from other games like Lineage, Mu, FFXI and etc. Whereas those games were set in dark medieval worlds of mystery and intrigue, thus allowing for constantly dark lighting and graphics, Rose is... well it's cute.
Graphics: Not what you expect from the usual mmorpg, very kiddish, but somewhat violent. However they are incredible well done and show the amount of work put into a fine game. Unlike much of the other games in it's genre, it is well lit and involves more colors in one area than a freakin rainbow. The detail put into items, armors, and weapons make the character a fierce fighting machine, while still keeping its oh so cute kiddy image. This game demonsrates a new quality in gaming, looking good to other players, and the does the ego good
Sound: Err, weird 7/10 players probably would turn it down or mute it completely. The music, although is well done and sounds great, is constantly overplayed and upbeat, thus making it annoying. The battle sounds are mixed with the clash of steel and the weird squeal of a creature dying. All in all, the sound of ROSE fits perfectly to the whole look of the game, but personally, I don't like it
Gameplay: Usually hack and slash, except for the blood thirsty demonspawn ready to rip your heart out... it's a jellybean... with legs... and arms... and a bandana. But it's still fun, 4 characters jobs to choose from, but unique builds for them make a good number of styles to play from. ROSE also intoduces a slight modern touch to the gameplay with guns and cannons(AKA Launchers) and the usage of carts, castle gears, and interplanatry travel, whilst still having a bear sell weapons to you. The monster numbers are extremely high, but the number of players could probably match that number and the infamous "No KS Nub" is easily applicable to this situation. Leveling is not as tedious as many other games and is more a rewarding experience than many other games.
Controls: Easy as pie... actually pie is kinda hard to make good, so easy as store bought pie
Community: A bajillion personal shops to choose from guarantees you to find pretty much whatever you need at any time. However due to the mass number of players at one time, ksing or kill-stealing is inevitable, but is not unbearable. Beware of scammers, usually people who say they sell items like kiwi for 47 zuly but before you realize it you've bought 100 kiwis at 471 zuly a piece, which by the way sucks alot.
In short, ROSE is not your typical mmorpg in the sense that it feels, looks and plays alot differently than others that you may have played. Give it a whack, I guarantee you'll be hooked
