Sim Theme Park

SimTheme Park:
Bullfrog creates it, but the SimName will bring th blame to Maxis. Too bad.

Let's face it. Maxis games rock. So when I heard SimTheme Park was coming out, I think, ''Cool! I like Rollercoaster Tycoon. This must be better!'' But this wasn't by Maxis, and, predictably, it wasn't as good as Maxis. At first, you're lured by the neat-o graphics. Nope! It turns out that when you have to zoom in (in order to build) the graphics get really bad. And it's slow. My PC? Although it's three years old, it's decent. 12 gig hard drive, Monster 3D video card, 32MB RAM. And there is no variety and little focus on rollercoasters. The best park of theme parks, arguably, is the rollercoasters. Look at this! about 2 rollercoasters per park. Is there any difference between them? Nope. Just how they look. Whether you spend $1,000 or $1 on a rollercoaster, it will be the same. It goes through no matter what. The guests will vomit NO MATTER WHAT. In RollerCoaster Tycoon you can design yours and if you design it well, people will go on. SimTheme Park? Nope. People just go on. And a rollercoaster will be the same, no matter which zone it is in - it just looks different. Customizbility? Little to none. If you look at RollerCoaster Tycoon, you have 11 different coasters and extra track that's researched, different operating modes, different colors, different trains, everything! None of that is in SimTheme Park. And the only differences between the different worlds is scenery and difficulty. This game is absolutely not worth your $50.

It's 3D, which is nice. But it gets ugly fast.

It's normal. Nothing extraordinary.

It's easy to play, but the lack of variety stinks.

Replayability: 0
No. VERY very little.

This game stinks. I wish that $50 was back in my pocket.
