"A good first expansion pack for a great game!"

The first expansion pack for the Sims 2 is here! Read my review and I hope that it helps your decision making about this game.A new age group called Young Adult is now available when your Sims go to college.

Graphics: 9/10

The Sims 2 University does not change any of the graphics from the Sims 2. It still has the same graphics that the Sims 2 has, except it corrects a few of the graphical glitches and bugs. (Such as walking through objects etc.)

Game play: 7/10

The game play is overall the same as the Sims 2 except for a few new adjustments and the whole new concept of college life. They changed aspirations around and added a whole new concept of influence points. They added a few new careers and almost 100 new objects. The college life is the biggest and most fun portion of the game. College like is a challenge to keep your sim happy while making the grade and hanging out with friends. Overall, the addition of college life is good, but a little non-realistic, and the items make the game really good.

Story: 3/10

There really is no story in the Sims 2 University because it is a life simulator. On the other hand, you can make your own stories with the camera and video-camera options. You can make a family and start your own stories and other life events!

Sound: 6/10

The sound in this game is more improved. They added more radio and TV stations. They also added more music to the radio and loading screens. The Sims now say more things with a greater variety.

Playtime: 10/10

This is where the game truly shines. The playtime is unlimited. The game never ends. You create a family from scratch and live their lives. Those Sims have more Sim babies and then they get old and die. This whole process then repeats itself. This game will leave you wanting more until the next expansion pack comes out.

Recommendation:

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed the Sims 2 and any person who is a fan of the Sims 1.
