"A great game for people looking for a tacticalshooter."

SWAT 4 REVIEW
Swat 4 is a sim first person shooter, they took actual swat tactics and turned it into a pretty realistic game. The game has a great atmosphere you'll get chills playing some levels, not knowing what's in the other side of the door is what makes SWAT 4 a really exciting game. You'll have to use flash bangs, gas grenades and other items to make it through alive. Not only must you try and keep yourself and your team alive, you'll have to try and capture all suspects alive too.
Pulling the trigger is the last thing you should do In swat 4, you'll have to warn the suspects with ‘DROP YOUR WEAPON' command if they dont't comply and start pointing a gun at you , then you'll have no choice to take them out! These are the things that really set the game apart from other shooters. The AI is either really smart or really dumb, most enemies will hide from you and run around the place just like they would do in real life. Your swat members act pretty good for the most part, they'll check their corners, listen to your orders, but there's always a few glitches in games where you have an AI controlled team.
8.5 -gameplay-

Graphically the game is great and features many options to either downgrade or upgrade the graphics depending on the power of your computer. I couldn't even run this game on medium with a pretty powerful pc, I'd recommend anything above a p4 2.0+, 1 gig of ram, and a great graphics card like the ATI 9800 pro. The levels are really well done and some are down right creepy, the atmosphere is pretty amazing, if you play serious you'll have a blast.
8.5 -graphics-

The sound in SWAT 4 is great and at times ok, the guns and explosions sound wonderful, and the main characters scream 'DROP YOUR WEAPON' is also well done. Your team talks a little to much, there's times where you'll hear 5+ people talking which could get annoying but doesn't happen to often., I think it brings a sense of panic but at times it's just overdone. The background music is cool and sets the mood for the level your playing, there's also catchy background music that will play when things get a little crazy.
7.5 -sound-

One of the best things about SWAT4 is when you restart a level, enemies and hostages are placed in different locations every time, a feature I've always wanted in a game of this genre. The game has 13 levels, and should take around 10+ hours to finish, especially if you play it on normal and above settings. On easy there isn't any objectives, you could kill anyone you want, so I don't recommend playing it like that the first time through the game. The game also has online co/op, death match, and swat vs. suspects which is really cool! You could also create your own missions by adding as many suspects and hostages, and last but not least, it comes with the real editor for fans to build there own levels from scratch. I've never done this before but I have no choice, I must give it a
10 -replay value-

Overall SWAT 4 has taken over the ‘sim Shooters' and is now the top game in the category, if you loved the old Rainbow Six which were more tactical then you should appreciate this game. With 13 missions, co/op online, death match, and custom maps swat 4 is really worth it for fans looking for something more realistic and tactical then any other shooter out there now.
SWAT4 is my top shooter of 2005 so far. 8.5 -overall-
