"...But i still love it a lot"

Might and magic, can't get bored with it, and this game is easily my favorite game of all time, I do not know why, but it is very addictive and once I sit down in front of my computer playing this dragon-slaying game, it sticks my eyeballs to the screen, this is the final release from our dear 3DO, their fate is concealed and sending them down into the earth, fading away and never to release another MM10, that's a pity. MM9 is the first and also the last game to include 3D effects for the entire game, unlike MM6 to 8, all graphics are software, but even though MM9 has 3D, it has a lot of flaws making this game look really stupid, but the style is still the same, and I would like to say this new rule in MM9 is so much better than 6 to 8, everything is new, but the score is lowered because i simply do not know what 3DO was doing when they run some tests on this game, because you gotta' admit, those bugs gets you every time, and you have to start the game all over because of some stupid mistake you make during the game, some bugs include, graphic problems or quests left incompleted and so on...

GAMEPLAY - 8
Oh yeah, I know you are probably very keen to know how hard this game is comparing to the impossible MM6 and the 'too-easy' MM8, well, this game is hard at first, but it will be so damn easy in the end, the monsters have very high health points but that doesn't matter, this is even better than MM8, at MM8 using a knight can damage up to 130+ points, but in MM9 you can do it above 250+!!, Amazing isn't it? why the damage just simply adds up to be a lot, but you will face a terrible situation at the beginning, you will always miss and will be forced to face such difficult tasks while doing promotional quests, luckily there are some bugs in this newly made 3D game so you can depend on a few tricks to beat the monsters (If you know what I mean...) when the game is nearing the end, everything is just so waaaaaaay easy, you don't even have to press 'Enter', believe me.

STORY - 9
Luckily there are still some fresh ideas left in 3DO's mind, this story is still fairly original, although it is quite the same like MM6, in MM6 you have to prove yourself worthy to enter the oracle, there are six lords and you have to complete their tasks for them, in MM9, it's about the same, just that you need to unite the 6 clans in order to stop the hordes that will crush the land of Chedian, but in the end the story is just different than other MM series, you will go to Hallenhalt (A.k.a Heaven - where dead people go) and meet with the gods, then complete quests for them, the last quest is to imprison an evil god, then that's it, the story comes to an end, although not such a heroic task compare to MM6 but still worth dying for.

GRAPHICS - 6
Bad, real bad, have you ever seen humans go through the ground, or wrong models loaded and get the trees being turned to human models, or even worst...
3DO should have stayed with the old 'Without-graphics' style, it saves money and well, you know this game is a classic after all, so why bother using state-of-the-art graphics and get a load of thrash and more bad points to lower the game's reputation, I'd say i love this game better without the stupid 3D effects.

REPLAYABILITY - 10
Yeah, yeah... I have played through this thing over 5 times, and i am not bored with it, there are different races to choose from, and each side (Might or magic) has 4 classes after 2 promotion quests, so you can try out different combinations of characters to keep you busy, everyone who had played MM before knows that this game is so hard to get bored because you don't stick to one same group of heroes.

So, buy it if you are a fan, and you will feel this game although roughly flawed can still bring a much fun if you don't get any troubles getting pass the quests, but if you are new to this series, then go get the older MM, although they don't have such modern graphics but who needs them anyway? this game is even better than dungeons and dragons and everything is much close to the fantasy games you have played before, this game is just perfect, but 3DO was suicidal enough to put extra 3D to the game, as a result ruining the reputation and making fans of MM vomit at the errors they face, but to me, this is still a great addictive game, Hail all to the best fantasy game series ever!!
