"Men versus men (and women) brings the best battles!"

Ok, so everyone knows what Battlefield 2 is right? It's large scale wars between human players over the Internet. It features vehicle combat, including tanks, choppers, jets and boats. 64 players battling it out at Karkand or Dragon Valley... It also has a great VOIP feature that lets the squad members talk to their squad, the squad leader speaks to the commander. Anyway, a great feature and a great game.

So, the game plays out like this. The players go up in squads and attack a specific flag position. Once they capture a flag by staying near it long enough, other players can spawn there when they die. The player also chooses a class everytime they spawn. There's the basic Assault class which features automatic rifle, body armor, grenade launcher. Medic is self-explanatory. They heal and revive other players and have a nice rifle. Anti-Tank has a rocket launcher and pea shooter. Sniper has a (bad....) sniper rifle, and Claymores. Spec-ops is cool, it has a sweet gun (don't know how to describe it really, sorry...) and very fun C4's. Support class is my favorite for some reason and they can resupply ammo and have a very big gun! accuracy is bad even when prone but I like it for taking out choppers. Engineer has shotgun and very important wrench. Not used enough in battle though....

So anyway, the battles are fluid and fast (if your PC can even run it....) and it's really fun to gun down a squad in a stroke of genius or luck! Basically, it's a bunch of fun, even more so if you use VOIP.

The game looks awesome, whether you run it on low or high. Sure it can look better on expensive hardware, but you can run it with your little 9600, and it'll look cool! The vehicles in particular look really nice and the scale of the game is gargantuan!!! You'll hear some winos say they can't fly a jet very far, but in general, it takes a while to get to the enemy flag. The ragdolls are also a lot of fun! You shoot him the head and you know you shot him in the head because of how the character falls. It all depends on your machine though, it's pretty demanding. Looks awesome overall.

It sounds really good too. Gunshots are powerful and explosions are loud. grenades are furious as well. The music is meh. I turned it off. The voices are good. Some people dislike the MEC and China teams because they can't understand them, but I like it and have learned some of the sounds.

There's also some weapon unlocks but don't expect them all because it takes a LOT of time to get these. Most people will unlock 1-3 depending on how much they play. It's wise to choose a weapon for a class that you like using... Also, the server browser is pretty bad, but there are alternatives.

I love it, keep coming back to it and play different roles in different games with different enemies with different battles every day. Try the demo before you buy though because it can be hard to run well. Enjoy!
