The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal
Review by CookiesnCats
"One of the Best Expansions Ever!"
On Christmas day, I unwrap an copy of the Morrowind Game Of The Year Edition. I had already played Morrowind on the no-manual no-map version I got with a video card, and couldn't wait to get the expansions to the game I loved so much. After completing the main quest of Morrowind, I moved on to Tribunal. What I experienced was a gaming work of art.
Story: 10/10
A wonderful surprise I will not spoil for you. Just play the game to find out!
Graphics: 10/10
Better than Morrowind! It seems like the artists put more effort into the expansion than the main game. The textures, colors, clothing, buildings, everything is SO vibrant and smooth and beautiful. I was really impressed with the quality of Tribunal's graphics.
Sound and Music: 7/10
It's not that the sound and music is BAD, it's just that there is not enough! It is the exact same music of Morrowind, and many of the sounds are the same. They did add more NPC greetings, some of which are funny and interesting, but there is just not enough in the sound department for a 10 rating. Some of the creature sounds do make you jump if you are taken by surprise, though!
New Content: 10!!!
There is some new much-needed armor that balances out the game, beautifully drawn, new artifact clothing and weapons. There is also a new feature that lets you forge armor if you go to a certain smith. The creatures are all new and twice as interesting.
To Buy or Rent:
BUY! This game has endless amounts of great gameplay, and it is worth its money. Actually, it is cheaper to buy the Game Of The Year Edition than just Tribunal alone. Renting is not a good idea in my opinion.
Final Words:
Final Score: 10/10( the sound isn't that important to me)
Get this! (And Bloodmoon, the other expansion, which is quite good.) With great graphics, good sound, a perfect story, and loads of new content, you will never be bored again! One word of caution: if you didn't love Morrowind, you will probably find Tribunal tedious and boring. Otherwise, it is a real RPG treat!
