Star Wars: Battlefront

"The multiplayer is great, though the single player is lacking somewhat"

Gameplay 9/10

In this game, you play as one of four different factions: the Galactic Empire, the Galactic Republic, the CIS(Confederacy of Independent Systems), and the Rebellion. Each faction has five units to choose from; an assault unit, an anti-tank unit, a pilot unit, a scout/sniper unit, and one unique unit. Each faction has a different unique unit, for example, the Galactic Empire gets a Dark Trooper, and the Rebellion gets a Wookie Smuggler. The single player is lacking somewhat, it's very short and can be beaten in 5-8 hours. There are two campaigns, one consisting of the Galactic Empire and Rebellion missions, and the other consisting of the Galactic Republic and the CIS missions. Each side gets a number of tickets, and each time a unit dies on one side, a ticket is taken away. Command posts are key to winning, if you hold all of the command posts for 20 seconds you win, and if you hold a certain number of command posts at a time, the enemy's tickets will start to "bleed". These command posts are placed at strategic locations on the map. Multiplayer can be very fun, though many team killers run amok. Besides that, there's much fun to be had online.

Sound 10/10

The music is fantastic, with of course , John Williams directing the music. The sound effects are also great, it'll make you feel like you're actually there in the battle. You'll hear your troops saying, "I need cover fire", or "Grenade!".

Graphics 9/10

The graphics are great, though at times your troops can look very blocky. The vehicles are very detailed and well designed, especially an AT-AT or an AT-TE. The grenades are terrible looking though, they are small and gray, and emit a red glow. They aren't detailed in any way.

Replay Value 10/10

The single player won't really have you coming back, but the multiplayer is where it's all at. There are many maps to play, and you can always try different units online and see which one you're best at. The team killers aren't as bad anymore, as most servers have team damage off. Your teammates won't really work as a team though, they'll usually go solo.

Overall 9/10

Star Wars Battlefront is a fantastic game with great graphics, great sound, and great multiplayer. There are few flaws, and you'll keep coming back to this game for more.
