GunBound is an online 2D turn-based shooting game featuring a wide selection of playable characters, called "mobiles" in which you try to outgun and outfire other players by using ech mobile's different attacks. The game exercises one's sense of accuracy and technique to best foes on single, tag, score, or jewel matches. You can also customize to your heart's desire through a vast selection of fashionable and stat-boosting avatars. You earn gold and GP by damaging opponents and doing fancy shooting. You can choose the mobile that fits you and be a pro or try it all and enjoy the variety that is Gunbound. Nothing so FREE has ever looked this GOOD.

GRAPHICS- 9/10
The graphics of this game is very good. The mobiles are well made, the colors are well-placed and combined, the animation is very smooth(except of course for the inevitable lag). Battles are even made more exciting due to the artisticaly designed maps which will wow you. Even the backgrounds for each map is animating. Especially maps named Miramo town which will give you the "chills" and also the Meta Mice which is like a factory of some sort. Furthermore, the mobile's attacks are all different and pretty to look at. This is what really seperates this game from others...VARIETY. You won't really mind that it's a 2d game. Simple yet different. You gotta love it. this is surely a sight for sore-eyes.

SOUNDS- 4/10
Compared to the game's excellent graphics, the sounds is a bit..hmm..not really something to write about. Although they have made a generic sound during battle phases, it does not really appeal to most gamers. It may sound tolerable at first, but after playing GunBound for about a month, that background sound will drive you nuts. Hey, I can't still hear it at nght before I sleep. hehe...But seriously,it's not good but you will somehow find yourself whistling to the tune which is unmistakably and originally GunBound. The saving grace would be the various sound effects of each attacks - Attack1, Attack 2, and SS Shots. They could have done better, but considering that it's free, no complaints here.

GAMEPLAY - 10/10
One of the most original games out there. You learn to estimate, trust your senses and play tactics in this game. Use high angles to hit foes and amaze onlookers. Be cautious of the wind which may turn the result of your bouts upside down. There is no question that aiming. shooting, and destroying enemies' angles is the recipe for instant online hit. Nothing sounds better than the cries of your enemies yelling.. "what t3h **** is dhat?!?" another thing is that this unique gameplay is actually very fun and at the same time mind-enhancing. Studies have shown..erm, my studies..that GunBound players get really good grades at Mathematics and have the best reflexes. Convinced yet? You will find yourself playing this game for hours and not get bored at all. Very amusing. Very strategic. Very good!

REPLAY - 10/10
Once you get in, you can't get out.. Anyway, it's hard to stop playing once you have started because of the fear being demoted. Remeber that once you have reached the Double sided Axe level, the ranking depends on the population meaning you have to play and be hardworking ..erm..hardplaying. Don't get it? ok, here's the catch. You level in this game by collecting certain amounts of GP or GunBound Points in order to increase your rank, or level-up. After reaching the Double Sided Axe level, the following ranking GP requirements depends on how many players are above you. For example, 100000 pilots are high leveled, then 30% of that will be named as the next rankers. So you have to really play your butt off if your up for that prestigious wand or Dragon ranking! Still, one character is enough and there is no need for another one.

COMMUNITY - 8/10
Considering it's an online game, we should also consider the people you will play with. There are literally thousands to communicate or chat with in this game. Chatting is done through channels on each servers. One convenient feature of the game is the Buddy List which..um,.. lists your buddies! You can see there what game they are in on what server and in what channel, so friend tracking is easy as pie. the GunBound community is, I must say, a very nice environment. most of the time friendly pilots will offer nice matches and very seldom will you hear flamming and cursing. The setback only is that there are increasing number of pilots using the aimbot programs which literally destroys the enjoyment and the whole sense of the game. Besides those stupid, anti-pro aimbotters and hackers, the whole community of gunBound is a breath of fresh air.
