"A Great Strategy Game"

I love ancient Greece and other things of that nature, so when I learned about this game, I started asking other people how good it was. They all told me it was a good game and worth a buy, so I picked it up and was not disappointed at all.

First off I might as well cover the gameplay, there are two main parts: the campaign map and the battle map. The campaign map is where you manage your empire and build your armies. You mobilize your various troops to other locations in hopes of building a massive empire. Now, once you get to the location you are moving to, such as a new city to conquer, you go into the battle map. The battle map is where a lot of the game takes place. Your army is seperated into units, and each unit is controlled individually. You can develop strategies and outsmart your foes in order to win the battle and perhaps a new city.

The battles are time consuming though, so after a while you will start to use the automatic way of fighting. This provides an instant outcome and it is pretty useful if you are going into a really one-sided fight.

Gameplay: 10

Next up is the sound, which I absolutely love. The music in this game is awesome and it really contributes to the experience. The sounds of your army are also great. It is really immersive in this area.

Sound: 10

Finally, I'm going to cover the graphics. The graphics are good, but not amazing. They are good quality, but not as good as other games available. The only other complaint I have in this area is the camera. Many times the camera will move, and I am placed ridiculously high above the field, making it hard to see what is going on with the battle.

Graphics: 8

Overall, If you like strategy games, this is great. Or if you enjoy history and want to experience it, I heartily suggest this game. It is not very expensive and the learning curve is pretty good.

Rome: Total War 9/10
