"Who knew golf was so addictive?"

Albatross 18 is one of the very few online golf sims and it is probably the best. It offers a large and friendly community and the Pang and Cookies system is fair.

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics in this game is great! The cutesy style that they use gives an even friendlier feel to the game. Some of the bad parts of the graphics would be the trees in the game. Some of the trees look like realistic 3d trees, but some of them just look plain 2d.

Game play: 10/10

The game play style used in Albatross 18 is very simple and that's what makes it so addictive. When you start, all the main points are covered in a tutorial. They also tell you what to do with very simple instructions and exercises. Once you've finished it, you can go out to play against the world in tournaments and just vs. games. The beauty of the game play though, is the way a complete newb can beat someone who has been playing for months. They can even get hole in ones from Rookie F. Unlike some games such as Gunbound, where avatars are necessary for domination of others, this game just uses avatars as a side sort of thing. In order to get these avatars though, you need to earn “Pang Points”. This is the currency used Albatross 18. In order to earn these points, you need to do different things and they all earn different amounts. For example, getting more than what your club can do on your first shot will give you an Overdrive bonus. The further you hit it, the more pang you get. However, if you do bad things like getting over par, you will lose 2 pang for each shot over par. There are also Cookies which you can buy in real life which you can use to buy better items.

The one problem is the courses. Blue Lagoon and Blue Water are the same except with different hole positions and more trees on Blue Water. Even Sepia Wind and North Wiz are kind of similar.

Music: 10/10

This section will be short. All I have to say is that it is addictive and there is a great variety in the types of music played. Even with only 4 courses available at the moment, the music is always unique.

OVERALL: 10/10

When you start playing, you may think, what the...a golf sim, what's so great about that? But as you go on and play more games, you'll feel addicted to it (well, I did >_>) Have fun and I hope you found this review informative!

PS: First review on A18 ebar. Woot.
