"Shining title for '97"

Alright. I am an avid player of games, and upon reading an appalling review by a certain Italian badmouthing this title, I must set the record straight. While the game is not a 10/10, it's definitely more important than the lackluster 2 it got for a score earlier. That irks me greatly, when somebody from a current year trashes on a piece of media that's nearly a decade or more old on a grading system as if it were a current game.

GRAPHICS....FOR 1997!
Yes, by TODAYS standards they are lackluster and weak. But please bear in mind, as I write this review, the game is *going on 9 years old*. This means that a certain large portion of the entire worlds human population is younger than this game. My, how time has flown since I were 8 years younger! I'd give it a 7/10 for it's graphics *for 1997*. The animation is 3-D in cutscenes, but obviously stop motion. The backgrounds are very gritty and dark themed, but obviously sprites. The character models are completely sprites, as well.

GAMEPLAY
It's a first person RPG/Adventure. You fire spells, you slash. You kill stuff, gain levels. You go through dungeons and the like. The transformation between Lizard and Hulking Beast gives you multipul ways of clearing some dungeons, and getting some hard to find items. But, as stated above, it was 1997. For it's DAY, it was great. It's not cutting edge now, but it's FUN.

Why? Well, it's fun, but now adays you have other games to replay. It's fun to play and then play it again to get another ending, but it's something you'll want to distance by about 2-3 months to get the most fun out of it.

FUN FACTOR:

8/10. Very fun if you have nothing else to do. challenging to the mind.

CHALLENGE: 6/10. If you level and are good at puzzles, this game is for you.

RENT OR BUY

Don't think you can find it anymore. Buy, either way. Probably less than 5 dollars by now.
