"Aim, shoot and enjoy!"

Pocket tanks is a scorched earth-like game made by only one man. But the shopping system has been deserted and there are very many additions like target practice. It is shareware and has excellent price-quality ratio. Let´s have an closer look.

Graphics: They are not 3d or anything godlike, but they fit the purpose really well. They are bit cartoony and not depressing so this is nice relaxation game. I like the looks of weapon effects very much, and I think that graphics of pocket tanks deserve well-earned 10/10

Sounds: Sounds in this game are pretty light-athmosphered, so dont expect any war-like explosions or epic music. Music is very relaxing and retro-like and sounds are like that. Probably well-fitting score would be 8/10

Gameplay: Lets just say, anybody looking for fast action can leave NOW. This game is slow-paced artillery game so you have to adjust angle and power and fire every turn. But there is plethora of weapons and there is some very original ideas in the mix. At beginning of each round you and opponent take turns taking weapons from shop. And weapons vay from straight-shooting lasers to particle bombs and missiles to worms. Great diversity! Overall deserves 9/10

Buying the game: Basically, trial version gets you 30 weapons, buying full version gives another 30 and then there are expansion packs. They vary from free 5-weapon packs (albeit you need full version) to 7.99$ costing 15-weapon packs, and if you ask me, the prices are very reasonable. There are 5 free packs and 4 purchasable packs. If you own all of these, then you have 145 weapons! Overall very good mechanics and so the price-quality ratio is one of best ever. Try the trial before buying the full game because not everyone likes games like this.

So when we look at the game, it is a gem to have in hard drive. Recommended.
But this is game to strategists, not for actionists. Just to remember; try the trial before buying!
Final score shall be 9/10.
