"If you thought Vigilante 8 was somethin', you ain't seen nothing yet..."

Hey my first review here:

GRAPHICS: (7/10) The cars in this game look amazing(skeeter's van for example), especially from the inside...however everything else looks like it was set in a desert. Then again the game is SUPPOSED to be set in a desert, so I didn't really mind. The game gets a 7 because of the pixelation and clipping.

SOUND: (10/10)Not many PC games are remembered for thier sound. There have been a few exceptions(Starcraft for example) and I'm glad that Interstate '76 is one of them. I'm gonna give 2 seperate ratings here:

-MUSIC: (10/10)Interstate '76 may very well be the first game that the music fits PERFECTLY. If you see the intro the game is supposed to be a 70's action show. And it sounds EXACTLY like a 70's action show would. Some of the tunes (the intro) are STILL stuck in my head, and I bought the game a YEAR ago (needless to say I'm a slow writer :)

-VOICES: (14/10)Perfection. That simple. All the voices fit PERFECTLY with the character. Skeeter's voice is downright hillarious!

GAMEPLAY: (I'd like to rate this but it's so high it wouldn't fit in here!)
Twisted What? Unlike the crappy console car combat games, Interstate '76 never gets old. You get to configure your car to your very liking. Call me a mechanic at heart but my favorite thing to do is to get the best possible performance at the lightest weight possible. Interstate '76 has one ace up it's sleeve that gives it the adavantage over ANY console car combat game. Realistic Pysics. You aren't going to be able to go 200mph in a Tractor Trailer, but then again that car in your will get more than a dent from the impact(trust me, Ive learned this the hard way).

People Always complain that this game is HARD. I like this game's difficulty. After being able to be megaman8 in 2 hours on my first try, I need the challange.

Oh yeah, another stereotype this Pc game breaks: The single player is actually fun!

OVERALL: If there was an oldie but gooide award for games, this would win it (that was cheesey). Much, MUCH better than it's horribly dissapoiting sequel Interstate '82.
