The Sims

"A good game but not great."

At the time I wanted this game I was hearing many reviews saying ''this game is the best game for the Macintosh this year'' and also I was thinking of making a game like this but my friends told me ''I have a game like that, it's called 'The Sims'''. So after I bought this game and after I played it for two days, I had gotten tired of it. Well here is my review on the game ''The Sims'':

Gameplay: 8/10
This game is very addictive the first time you play it but does get boring later when you have had it for two months. If you haven't played it in a long while then it will become fun for another couple of days. When you feed and try to pamper your Sims it does get hard because of other reality things such as work, friends, and your budget. It gets more difficult farther and farther into the gameplay; The Sims will start to whine and will not go to work and it can get very frustrating. You have many interactions with items such as phones, plants, and friends.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are wonderful. The walls and the floors look great. The one thing that isn't really good in the graphics department is probably the characters as the polygons are bad in facial and lower body.

Sound: 8/10
All items have their own special sound that you hear such as turning on a lamp or taking a shower. Where this lacks at is the Sims voices; they speak gibberish and you can not understand a word they are saying though it sounds like they are saying different languages. The music is fairly decent sometimes when you are in build mode you get aggravated by it. But, since it is a computer game (like some games) you can put in your own music into the game.

Control: 6/10
The game suffers here because when you are in a hurry to work your character will tend to slow and make you miss the carpool to work. This can also be bad if you need to get to the phone because someone is calling you can miss any opportunities in that call because of slowing of the controls.

Story: In the Sims you can make your own story like an everyday soap opera or just a day of relaxation. In this game you can make or end your own story.

Replay: 10/10
Usually you will want to play this game a lot if your not doing anything else. You can will never have the same things that you had done in a different game because it's just like life, nothing will happen the same way again but will alter.

Overall: 8/10
A good game that you want to play a lot. You will get tired of it after awhile but it might seem to get easier when you figure out how to have happy Sims that will live and die in your hands.
