"This bug is dead."

Rollie McFly: Saving the Bugdom, becoming a prince, and kicking some nuts... walnuts. A typical story for a free desktop game on the Macintosh, this is an okay game, but, I have seen many flaws in this game. Read further if you want an info on this game.

Gameplay: 6/10, Fair
Ouch! That is not how you want to start out a review. This game is fine and everything but it had specific spots that you do not want to go through in this game because of something called ''lag'' which I'm sure everyone knows means a slow down of game time. There are ten levels total which is going to get you angry by it's overall difficulty, hard. The first two levels are kind of easy but once you get to the third level, more than likely you will have no clue of how to get passed certain areas.

Graphics: 5/10, Mediocre
The graphics are not bad, but not good. Blocky in total, but if you zoom in on Rollie you will actually see the graphics are nicely done but if you zoom out you will (probably) get annoyed because the outline looks horrid. Like I said not bad nor good.

Sound: 8/10, Great
A very well orchestrated soundtrack. Besides some of the games low qualities it comes back with it's music. Not much detail was actually put into the game sounds so there is no more to say.

Control: 3/10, Bad
The control itself is not believable because compared to The Sims this game would be at the bottom of the shelf (if they were selling it). Lag comes in the way multiple times due to the graphics, and some easy tasks can feel frustrating because of this such as rolling.

Story:
''The Bugdom was once a peaceful place ruled by the Rollie Pollies and the Lady Bugs, but not long ago the Bugdom was overthrown by the clan of the Fire Ants. After recruiting other bugs to help fight for them, they captured all of the the Lady Bugs and are holding them prisoner. The leader of the Fire Ants, the new king of the Bugdom, is King Thorax. Once he is defeated, the Bugdom will return to the peaceful place it used to be. You are Rollie McFly, the only remaining bug capable of saving the Lady Bugs and restoring peace to the Bugdom. Rollie has been hiding in the Lawn area of the Bugdom and will need to travel far to get to the Ant Hill where the battle with King Thorax must take place. There will be water to cross, bugs to ride, and plenty of enemy forces to defeat, but once the Fire Ants and King Thorax have been defeated, you will become the new ruler of the Bugdom and peace will be restored.''- Pangea Software's text on the hard drive. It's an over done story but I guess this was a good idea in development when ''A Bug's Life'' had came out.

Replayability: 1/10, Abysmal
I, myself, wouldn't even recommend replaying this game because of it's low quality. I wish they would have made this game more complex for certain reasons, (look above).

Buy or Rent?:
I guess you don't really have a choice, but if this game was in stores I would recommend doing neither.

Overall: 5/10, Mediocre
Hmm... Well I guess some games are just meant to be played a certain number of times before they go out of style due to demand! I hope you read my next review, peace out!
