Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

Warcraft Three: The Frozen Throne is an excellent strategy game. You can play as either four races: Human (Are you a human? Do you hate orcs? Here you go!), Orc (Are you a barbarian gone good? Nice choice!), Night Elf (Are you really old and obsessed with nature? This is you!), or Undead (Like killing stuff? Like being evil? Well, this is the undead!) Join Maiev the Warren in her hunt for Illidan in the Night Elf Campaign! Join Rexxar in his journey in the Bonus Orc Campaign! (which now by the way has all the missions) See the beginning of the the new kingdom under Thrall and the rebirth of the orcs! And they aren't blood thirsty or anything! Well I can't really tell you about the other ones but just trust me. They are amazing!

Graphics: 10/10
I remember playing Warcraft I and Warcraft II (which I have reviewed previously). Their graphics weren't too amazing. They were two dimensional and cartoony! Now, Blizzard Entertainment has given us the story of Warcraft in 3-D! The graphics are really awesome! There is a wide range of units for all of the races, each uniquely made, and now there are new neutral heroes (some being added) The spells and the such are very cool! The added heroes from Reign of Chaos are very interesting and fun to play with. My personal favorite is the Pandarian Brewmaster who as a hilarious character is also a force to be reckoned with!

Game play: 10/10
This game is fun and challenging at the same time! It's a strategy game.. What can I say? The races are pretty evenly matched, they have certain strengths and weaknesses! Blizzard develops patches to help keep the gameplay balanced. Well, on-line gameplay is pretty tough! But there are plenty of matches find even if you don't play well! :-)

Story: 10/10
The storyline is pretty dramatic. It's well formed and there are many cutscenes that help explain the story. Also, the cutscenes aren't two zillion hours long, they aren't too short or long! You play the roles of many kinds of heroes, some good and well some bad! The story is definitely a great add-on to Warcraft 3:Reign of Chaos!

Control: 10/10
You use the mouse... Well, besides that, the hotkeys are pretty easy to learn. (They are invaluable for online play!!!) What is great about Warcraft 3 is how you can control 12 units at once! Using the tab key, you can switch between different characters and use hotkeys to use spells or skills! Imagine, you are just playing some boring old strategy game where all you do is run up to people and fight.. Now imagine a game where you can send individual units back and forth, switch spells, control heroes with one group, and attack secretly somebody's base with another! It leads to an exciting way to play!

On-line Play: 10/10
There are plenty of games to find online! Plenty of people create their own maps and share them online. There are plenty of clans to find to join for people of all skill levels! The interface is quite easy to use! Also, Blizzard releases patches every once in a while to prevent rotten cheaters and glitchs from affecting fair play! Blizzard has a very strong anti-cheating policy! Blizzard has made things such as new neutral heroes and even new maps (which are quite fun and funny.. one of them was a go-kart racing map) Oh yeah, did I mention that Battle.net is free! There is no monthly fee. You don't need to pay for alternate accounts! This gives you more bang for your buck, free online play and free online tournaments and accounts! Blizzard was truely great in doing this!

Map Maker: 10/10
I've seen the amazing maps people have made from this! You can create your own cut scenes and even make customized units! If you search online, you can find plenty of fun maps to play and even lengthy campaigns with cutscenes and everything! The map maker takes plenty of patience I must say. It looks intimidating at first but is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. It's much better than the one in Warcraft 2! :-)

This game is a great choice! It is worth all of its money and more! If you liked Reign of Chaos, or you just want a game to play with your friends, or maybe you are looking for an interesting game with a pretty cool fantasy like storyline with some action with strategy, well, this game is for you!
