"top view kick azz space game"

There is alot to be said for mac games. Mac gamers say that all the small time games are way more fun than over-produced pc games that are ported to mac. This game proves it. Here is why I think so.

Story
Thats just the thing. You make the story. There are cargo missions that give you small amounts of money. When you get enough money you can buy a war ship and become a merc. You could also buy a biger freighter and continue trading. Flexibility is key.

Gameplay
The smooth gameplay is nice. Even with 20 ships in the system all attacking at once the game doesn't slow in framerate. The status bar on the right shows a radar display, weapon selection, and target display. It is easy to learn controls and tecnuques fast.

Graphics
The graphics are alright. They're good for the game but hey could be a LITTLE better. They look 3-D but comon its a top view. They are not so bad that its unplayable. It's just that they could be improved.

Sound
Sound is a key part of the gaming atmosphere. When a hostile ship is in the system, an alarm goes off. When a laser goes off it has it's own unique sound. There has to be at least a thousand sounds. They are also clear and loud

Replay
That is what hooks you in. Hundreds of thousnds of ways to play this game. Its adictive. The other replay feature it plug-ins. If somehow you play it everyway and every possibility(like me, i've had it for 3 years) you could download plug-in made by a fellow gamer! New ship, missions, planets, everything!

Overall
Over all it is one of those games that will pull you in for hours on end. It's free so I suggest you take the 10 minute download from Ambrosia.com
