**********************  AUTHOR'S NOTE  **************************

Started on the game updates here, Mynci Beach Volleyball increased to about 12
times the length it was originally – all quality, not filler! They'll all be
like that eventually, but had to start somewhere. That's the only new update
for this week, but I'd like to see how well received these changes are before I
do more updates. Making an entire 230K FAQ twelve times as long will be hell to
download (and upload – I have dial-up myself! 3MB! Ouch!). Guess if it's good
quality people shouldn't complain though.

Ringworm.

If the game you want is not listed above, it means it either has out of date
information, or just hasn't been covered in my update schedule yet. There is
most likely some information on the game, but more in depth information will be
available in later updates. You'll need to find this game manually (or type the
game name into the search box, that should find it too).

This FAQ is Copyright of Matthew Stephenson (Ringworm), 2005. The following
sites are the only ones that have permission to host ANY of my FAQs:

www.gamefaqs.com
www.neoseeker.com

Want to host this FAQ? Found it on another site not listed above? Let me know:

ringwormrulez[at]gmail[dot]com

I may let you host it. Ask. The only requirement is you post the ENTIRE FAQ,
UNEDITED. No changing any of it, and it has to be all there. Try to keep it
updated as well; the most recent version will always be found at GameFAQs.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION BEFORE HOSTING THIS! If not, you are in breach
of the law. Obviously, you can not make profit from this guide by selling it or
anything similar. Once again this is illegal. You can make a copy for personal
usage though if you're that way inclined. I got no problems with that. It's
your printer ink and paper you are wasting. Please think of the environment
before doing this though – you'll be destroying a small forest if you try to
print the entire file.

Got a question or got some info you feel should be included? There are a few
ways to contact me:

* Email: ringwormrulez[at]gmail[dot]com

* Neomail: send it to ringwormrulez, INCLUDE IN THE SUBJECT WHAT IT IS ABOUT.
This is probably the preferred method.

* GameFAQs message board: Put an ATTN topic on the neopets board
(http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=916642) and I'll reply
ASAP, or somebody else will. My user name at GameFAQs is Ringworm, and I'm on
the site a few times a day normally.

I may take a while to respond, just letting you know. Also, make sure what you
want to ask is not covered already. Generally, I respond to anybody that needs
help. If I feel the FAQ makes it perfectly clear, and you just haven't read it
properly though, I may not. If I'm around, I should reply within a day or so.

IF YOU EMAIL ME: Include the game name, or something that makes it obvious what
it's about. I will NOT read ANY emails with attachments, or ones with no
subject line.

I'd like to take some time to thank the people that have helped with this
guide. Firstly, I'd like to thank all the staff at the neopets website for the
many hours of enjoyment I've had there. The webmasters that host this FAQ
should get a bit of credit too I guess, as you wouldn't be reading this
otherwise. I'd also like to thank you, the reader, for choosing this guide, and
I hope I helped in some way. Also, to all the people that have helped me since
when I first started, even that little bit, and there are WAY too many to list
here, I am eternally grateful towards. You rock! Special thanks also to jelly
soup, I've got a lot of the avatar information from his excellent FAQ that is
also available at GameFAQs.

All names, characters, and related material are Copyright of Neopets Inc.,
1999-2005. All references to information taken from other peoples work is shown
throughout the guide, as I don't want to make this section even longer.

The main reason I joined Neopets was because I heard from a few people they had
some good games, and as a long time gamer, this appealed to me. I have to agree
with them. With well over 150 games to choose from, I'm sure there's at least
one or two that you'll find enjoyable.

In this FAQ, I have given links to most of the games on the site (some are
quite tough to find, although most are in the game room). I have also included
information on the scoring for the game (where appropriate), neopoint rewards
(called NP from here on) and trophies, general information, avatars available
(if applicable), passwords (in some cases), and my hints, tips and additional
information for most games.

Hopefully this guide will assist you in raising some of your high scores. I
believe it will help anybody from a first time player to somebody with numerous
gold trophies. Sure, I'm not great at all the games on the site, nobody can be
legitimately, but I'll try to help with the ones I'm not good at as well.
Generally where I have a really low score for a game, it's due to a lack of
attempts, rather than a lack of skill (that's my excuse anyway =D)

Before I get into the main part of the guide, I'll list some tips for improving
your scores.

* PRACTICE! A lot of the skill based games I still improve my scores on as I
play them more often. You can't expect to get grand master rank for every game
on your first attempt.

* Try playing the game in full screen. You can change the size of flash games
to full screen, which helps with some games. It will sometimes slow a game down
slightly, which is helpful for some games (and not for others). Experiment with
high and low quality when they are offered too. Higher quality is generally a
bit slower. Turning sound on and off can also affect game speed.

* Focus on a few games per day. When you think you are competent at them, try
some of the others. You'll never play every game, every day. Find some you are
either good at and/or really like, and play them daily. You'll find you get
better scores this way. I do anyway.

* For most games, if you want to earn NP, you can only send your score 3 times
per day. Set a limit of what you find a minimum acceptable score for the game,
and don't send if you get lower than that. This takes a bit of knowledge of the
game, but once you've played a few times, you'll have a fair idea. The maximum
amount of NP you can get per game is 1000 NP, getting a score that should earn
more than this will still only get you 1000 NP.

* Even after sending your score 3 times, you can continue playing the game.
It's good for practicing. Even though you can't earn NP from it, it will help
you earn more per day in future by increasing your skills.

The main aim of the games is to have fun though. If you aren't enjoying it, you
may as well stop. There are plenty of other games to play if a certain game is
frustrating you. I've sent scores for over 200 games, and this is just a small
part of what Neopets has to offer. Get comfortable, and read on. You may just
learn something!

So, you are in the mood to play some games right? Firstly, you need to have an
account. Use this link to get to the site:
http://www.neopets.com/refer.phtml?username=ringwormrulez then click on the
"create an account" button, found near the middle of the screen. You will also
need a neopet for most games. I recommend adopting a pet from the pound:
http://www.neopets.com/pound.phtml but if you want more control over the name
and appearance of your pet, you can create a pet here:
http://www.neopets.com/addpet.phtml

Done all that? OK, if you are logged in to your account, you can start to play
games. Not sure you are logged in? Look at the yellow bar at the top of the
screen, below the ads. If you see a line of text similar to this: Welcome,
ringwormrulez | Pet : ringwormrulez | NP : 200 you are logged in. If not, log
in by clicking on the login! link on the left hand side of any page (direct
link: http://www.neopets.com/loginpage.phtml ), enter your username and
password, then you are ready to go.

To choose a game, click on the games link on the left hand side of all pages
(link: http://www.neopets.com/gameroom.phtml ). On this page, you will see four
main categories of games (Puzzle, Action, Luck/Chance and Featured Game), and
below this, links to eight other pages. This is described in detail below.

The first three main sections have a relevant section below, so I won't explain
in more detail just yet. The featured game deserves a bit of recognition
though. This game will change daily, and it can be any of the flash and
shockwave based games that can be found in the puzzle and action sections of
the game room. What's so special about it? Playing the game will earn double
the NP for that day. The NP cap per game is still 1000 NP per game, but you
only need half the score you normally do to get this amount. I strongly advise
you play the featured game three times every day, if you have time.

The eight links at the bottom are as follows: Neopets TCG, Stockmarket, Beauty
Contest, Neopets BATTLEDOME, High-Score Tables, Collectable Cards, Multi-Player
Games, Other Contests. These are explained in more detail below.

Neopets TCG (http://www.neopets.com/tcg/home.phtml ): Go here if you want to
find out how to play the offline trading card game (TCG). You can also check
which cards are available in various TCG decks, and which of the TCG cards
(items on the site) you currently have in your deck. In all my time on Neopets,
I have NEVER received a TCG card item. I believe the way to obtain them is
either by trading in rare item codes (found in real life TCG packs and some
other merchandise), or from a random event on the site (fairly rare). Of
course, you can also buy them from other players. This section is a waste, and
now you know what it is, I don't see any reason why you would want to go there
unless you have a LOT of NP to waste on TCG items (which are generally VERY
expensive) and want to check which you have.

Stockmarket ( http://www.neopets.com/stockmarket.phtml ): This is a decent way
to make NP, but you need a reasonable amount to begin with. Every day, you may
buy up to 1000 shares in any of the stocks that are trading at 15 NP or higher.
If you buy the maximum at the minimum price, you will be spending 15000 NP per
day on stocks. Sounds like a lot? It can be, yes.

My recommendation is to buy 1000 shares in any company trading at 15 NP. If
none are, wait half an hour and check back (the stock prices are adjusted every
half hour: on the hour, and at half past). Do this every day. Once the share
price hits 35, sell all 1000 shares. This will net you 20000 NP for that trade,
minus a small commission you have to pay for selling shares. This is 20 NP per
transaction. Even if you are selling more than one lot of shares, the total
commission will still be 20 NP. Just a warning that playing the stockmarket can
be risky, as quite often, stocks will slump to single digit range for a while.
If all your stocks are down, and you need NP in a hurry, you will be losing out
if you need to sell. I recommend having around 300,000 NP before buying stocks.
This should be enough to cover all your stockmarket expenses, especially if you
are also getting NP from other sources.

Very occasionally (only once in the first twelve months I was on Neopets), a
stock will go bankrupt. If this happens, any stocks you had in that company are
gone, and you will not get the NP back. It is a risk you take with the
stockmarket. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. As long as you spread
out the stocks you are investing in, you won't lose much at all on the
extremely rare chance it does happen.

There are many variations on the way to invest in the stockmarket, but I've
found my method works quite well. I earn enough from other sources (mostly
quests and games) to keep a decent amount of NP in the bank, as well as
increasing my portfolio value. These stocks I know will eventually get to the
magic 35 mark, and when this happens, I've earned more than double what I spent
on them. A lot of people will only buy occasionally, and may sell at much
higher limits. Some invest in higher priced shares (maybe in the mid 20 range)
and hope they go up to 50 NP per share (or higher). There are still others who
buy the shares trading at over 100 NP, but I can't see much reason for this.
Experiment if you want, but you'll find my way is about the best. You may
consider lowering your sell price to 30 NP per share (100% profit), and this is
not a bad idea. Most shares that rise to 30 NP will also get to 35 NP I have
found.

Beauty Contest (http://www.neopets.com/prizes.phtml ): Please note, that this
is not a direct link to the beauty contest, but rather leads to your trophy
cabinet. This page shows all the trophies you have earned from games, as well
as individual pet trophies won. These individual ones are mostly from the
beauty contest, but you can also get them by feeding rare foods to your pet
(gourmet club), or reading a lot of books to your pet (book award, and
booktastic book award for Kreludan books).

There is also a link to the beauty contest. These run for a week or two, and
involve you sending in a drawing of your neopet. The pictures with the most
votes when the voting time runs out will get trophies. These are categorised by
overall, and by species. I believe you also get an item as a prize, but as I've
never entered, let alone won, I can't confirm it.

Neopets BATTLEDOME ( http://www.neopets.com/battledome.phtml?battle_location=0
): The battledome is where you can use your pet to battle against other
opponents – both single player and against other users. This is reasonably
complex, and I may include more detail on it in a later update. There is
already a FAQ available on GameFAQs if you want more information.

High-Score Tables ( http://www.neopets.com/gamescores.phtml ): If you want to
find out the high scores for the month for all the games on the site, this is
where you should head. It lists all the games on one page, however, you can
also find these tables in a link at the bottom of individual game pages.

Collectable Cards ( http://www.neopets.com/games/neodeck.phtml ): This is not
to be confused with the TCG, it is a completely different section. These cards
are actually buyable from the collectable cards shop in the bazaar (click
"shops" in the yellow sidebar, then click on the "more shops" sign). On the
page you can create and modify a NeoDeck (where you store your cards), add and
remove cards between your inventory and your NeoDeck, and see the cards you
still need to collect. It is still very expensive trying to collect all the
cards, some are worth millions of NP, and there is no reward for completing the
full deck (except satisfaction).

Multi-Player Games (http://www.neopets.com/games/lobby/mp_lobby.phtml ): The
individual games found here, namely Armada, Geos and Kacheekers are described
in more detail in the puzzle games section. However, you can start or join any
of these games here, playing against other site members. There is also a link
to the monthly tournament here.

With the monthly tournament (there's one for each of the three games), you will
be playing against a random opponent. This begins on the first of the month,
and you will be sent a neomail when the game begins. You then have a week to
get a result. If the game is not completed, both players get eliminated. If you
win, you play another game. Win the second game to get a bronze trophy. Win a
third match (between the 15th and 21st of the month), and you will get either a
silver or gold trophy, depending on the outcome of the fourth and final match.
I've gone into a bit more detail in the section for the relevant game.

Other Contests (http://www.neopets.com/contests.phtml ): This links to quite a
few of the contests that are available on Neopets, such as the beauty contest,
site spotlight and the Lenny Conundrum. Many of these are described in other
sections of the game room (mostly in the puzzle section), the others you can
look at for yourself. A few contests, such as the random contest, petpet
spotlight and neohome spotlight are not listed on this page. To find how to
enter these, you are advised to read through the news, as they are all judged
weekly.

Towards the bottom of the page you will see links to some old contests that
were run on the site. The entire page isn't updated any more, so if you aren't
looking to enter one of these contests, there's not much point visiting the
page.

That pretty much sums up what is available in the game room. The games
available in each of the three main sections are described in detail below.

I've never actually played this game. I'll try to make sure I do before the
next update though. I'm not a big fan of multi-player games as I hate losing,
especially to other people. We all know the computerised players cheat in
games, so it's perfectly acceptable to lose to them. :)

they will be freed from the dungeon, but nobody has ever won a single game
against him... which is most probably a good thing, as he is lying through his
teeth :)

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Note: I did NOT come up with this strategy. I found it on a pet's page by the
name of shiav
(http://home.neopets.com/templates/homepage.phtml?pet_name=shiav).

You may need to improvise on this, as the computer will not always follow this
pattern. If your opponent gets 3 in a row before you do - block it immediately.
The following grid shows the moves you should make to win every match in the
first 10 tournaments.

 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|A|_|_|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|_|r|b|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|5|b|r|_|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|4|3|D|1|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|6|_|2|_|B|_|_|
|_|_|_|_|C|_|E|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|

r and b are the pieces already on the board. 1-6 are the moves YOU should make
(in order). A-E are the moves the opponent USUALLY makes (in order).

At this point, you have 2 open ended rows of 3 pieces. You'll win on your 8th
move. Your opponent will normally block off one, so make four in a row on the
other. Note: If the opponent blocks an end of the r36 line, make your next move
BELOW the 6 and NOT above the 5. You won't be guaranteed a win if you do this.

Information:
Are you tired of those goody two shoes games where honesty and fair play are
the aim of the game? Don't you just once wish you could cheat and get away with
it? Well, now you can. Use all of your skill and cunning to beat your opponents
in a breath taking game of Cheat! If you beat the 3rd, 5th or 7th rounds, you
also earn a trophy!

It only costs 50 NP per play. So what are you waiting for? Get Cheating!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

This is probably the easiest game to get a trophy in. I don't cheat unless I
have to, and normally only accuse people when I'm sure they are cheating. If
somebody plays their last card - accuse them of cheating, as you'll lose if you
don't anyway.

You are in a very scary lab... in a very scary part of the Haunted Woods...

The object of the game is to build molecules from the atoms given to you. You
only have a limited number of atoms available, so place them carefully! Refer
to the chart to see which molecules can be built. When you reach the needed
score for that level, you will advance to the next level where more advanced
molecules can be built. Avoid unstable compounds - if you build one of them, or
if you run out of atoms to build with, you lose the game!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Practice is the only way to get good at this. Generally, try to make the
longest possible molecules for bigger points. At the start, look for molecules
which can be made with the existing atoms. Clearing the board after level 6 or
so will give you a bonus 5 pts.

Game Link: http://www.neopets.com/games/destructomatch2.phtml

There is a lovely patch of land, down by a stream that would just be a perfect
place to build your Tyrannian village, but there is a problem. Boulders
everywhere! Blue boulders, yellow boulders, red boulders... and they have to be
cleared before you start building.

In Destruct-O-Match II you have to group up boulders of the same colour, and
then click to remove them. Only groups of 2 or more matching boulders can be
removed in this way. The more boulders you clear at once the more points you
earn, and to progress to the next level you need to achieve a certain number of
points.

Some boulders have symbols on - if you manage to clear one of these boulders
then something special will happen. Check the in-game instructions to find out
what each icon does!

This was one of the first games to get an updated version, and unlike most, the
sequel is actually better than the original.

As for which mode to play, I would recommend the standard mode. Extreme seems
to get slightly lower points for me, but if you have great reactions and skill
with the mouse, it may be the better choice.

Bonus bricks: "X3" will make the combo with that brick in it triple the normal
value.
"*" Will destroy all blocks of that colour on screen
"15" This counts down to 0. After 15 seconds, it turns into an un destroyable
block (except with the next one)
"Fire" Destroys all the blocks in a square around it (1 square in each of the
eight directions). Can destroy "crossbones" blocks.
"Crossbones" An undestroyable block caused by the timed block counting down to
0.
"?" Adds one block of random colours to each column on screen, including empty
columns.

In a level, I will always try to destroy the countdown blocks before they get
to 0. If you can do so, this has removed all time worries from the game, and
you can take as long as you want. I generally ignore the "?" blocks, and
leaving them until late in the level is generally a good idea. I ALWAYS leave
the fire block to the last move, as it can get rid of the last few blocks on
screen that are the only one of that colour remaining. The "X3" blocks I
obviously try to get into as large a combo as possible, and I work on this as
soon as I've removed the timed blocks. As for the star block, I generally
remove all other blocks that I can of the same colour first, as this will get
you a few extra points.

Bonuses occur depending how many blocks you have left. If you manage to clear
all blocks, you receive 250 bonus points, this bonus is reduced by 50 points
for every block remaining on screen. If there are 5 or more blocks remaining,
you receive no bonus. I save the code listed above (destroyboulders) for when I
am not going to make it through the level otherwise. This can sometimes open up
new scoring possibilities, and may enable you to reach the next level.

Welcome to the Faerie Crossword game! The Library Faerie needs your help to
fill in the crossword puzzle. She has clues but can't make head or tail of
them! So you'll need to read them and figure out what words go in each spot.

Words always go from left-to-right, or up-to-down (they never go down-to-up or
right-to-left, that would be crazy!) and must be filled in one letter at a
time. Once you have filled in all the letters correctly, you will be awarded
prizes! You can only receive prizes once per day (once per puzzle, in other
words) but you can solve a day's puzzle as many times as you want!

You can fill in words by clicking on the clue at the bottom, then typing in a
word above it and clicking "Go". If you put in the wrong word, you can put
another one in the same place: just click the clue again, and type in a new
word, then click "Go"!

Remember, if you start a puzzle too late in the day, the new one might replace
it before you finish the old one! So get started!

problems that have to be solved! Help solve the puzzles so the Babaas can jump
over the fence and keep Imiya sleeping!

Click on the Babaa with the puzzle you want to solve, and then use the number
pad to type the answer in and hit the Enter key. Try harder levels to earn more
points - but watch out for the Mutant Babaas, their puzzles are much harder to
solve!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Should be quite an easy game, but it's frustrating. The cursor keeps moving to
a different babaa, or the score won't type in properly. Gets very annoying. Use
a calculator if you want, nobody would know.

WilliamPorygon (GameFAQs) suggests playing on the division level. Answers to
the problems (except for mutant babaas) will either be the level number plus 1
OR twice the level number plus 1. For example on level 6, the answer would
either be 7 or 13. For level 453, the answer would be 454 or 907. You still
need to figure out the mutant babaas though.

Information:
It's not just Neopets that need to eat and drink. At this home for lost
Meepits, it's up to you to make sure all the little Meepit children get their
daily Juppie Juice.

In this game you are controlling the Juice-O-Matic, an overly complicated
machine designed to deliver fresh Juppie Juice to Meepits. Click on the each
pipe to rotate it clockwise so that there is a unbroken pipe between the Juppie
Juice and the Meepits. Sometimes you will have to mix colours together to
create a new one!

If a Meepit drinks Juppie Juice that is the same colour as them you get extra
points (they are quite particular about what they drink). However, they will be
satisfied with any colour. If a Meepit is not fed in time you will lose a life.
Lose three lives and it's game over.

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

I work from the meepit, to the juice. I don't worry about the colour of juice,
but I'll try to feed more than one at a time if possible. I ignore the bonus
fruit.

instead of 500, and 2 items instead of 1.

To enter, simply type in what you think the picture is. For instance if you

I like this, as I manage to win roughly one in every three times :). If you are
online just after it is released (check the news to see when a new one is
released), you are in with a decent shot of winning. I check the games board on
Neopets, it generally takes about half an hour to be solved. If you submit the
answer within about three hours of this, you are in with a decent chance of
getting the prize. Unfortunately, I haven't been around much lately, and I
haven't won for quite a while.

In this situation, it means 1 of the surrounding 8 squares has a red negg, and
the other 7 are OK to click on. Sometimes you will need to guess where to
click, other times you will be able to work it out. It gets frustrating when
there are 2 squares left, with one being safe, one not, and you have to guess.
Especially when you guess wrong. That's the beauty of the game though, you need
a bit of luck, as well as skill to do well.

The sewers beneath Neopia Central haven't been repaired in years -- and now
they're broken down and flooding with nasty, smelly sewage!

You need to help Matt the Wocky repair sewer systems all over Neopia Central.
He's got the pieces, but he needs you to decide where they go! Sewage Surfer
Neopedia Article

In Sewage Surfer, the goal is to complete each level by placing pieces of sewer
pipe in order to connect the sewage source and the sewage drain:

You will get a random assortment of pieces in a random order. Click on the
empty squares in the sewer to place the next piece. If you get a piece you
don't want or can't use, you can discard it -- but be careful, because you can
only discard a certain number of pieces per level. Once you have placed all the
pieces, you can turn on the sewage flow -- but if your sewage system isn't
closed, you'll flood the sewer and have to start over!

It's okay to have extra pieces in the sewer, as long as they aren't attached to
your pipe system.

If your sewer system is complete, you score points based on the number of
pieces in your solution. The more pieces you used in the completed part of your
system, the higher your score; any extra pieces laying around the puzzle
subtract from your score.

You can restart any level at any time, unless you've already finished the
level. You lose 50 points for restarting the level. When the game ends (and
ONLY when the game ends!), you win neopoints based on your score. The higher
your score, the more neopoints you get. Neopoints are awarded when you finish
the last level, or if you quit the game. You need to score 5,000 points before
you will be awarded any neopoints -- the Neopian City Council doesn't reward
half-efforts, so get to fixing!

In this game you have to guide Dieter the Polarchuck (a very hungry Polarchuck
who just loves munching snow!) to the bottom of each level before the time runs
out!

Use the arrow keys to move Dieter around - he can climb only one block at a
time though. Press the space bar to munch those yummy snow blocks. As Dieter
eats he becomes more and more bloated, so pick up the Bloat-B-Gone medicine to
help him burp. If he gets to 100% bloated he will lose a life.

Watch out for the Snow Wurms - if you release them they will come after you
(but leave their treasures unguarded!) Lastly, collect gems for extra points.
Get munching!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

You need to keep an eye on a few things - your bloat level and the time. These
seem to be the main ones that kill me. I try to eat my way as fast as possible
to the next medicine item, and only get gems which get in my way.

For a few extra points per level, keep one level of ice blocks and eat ice to
the side of you, until Dieter is either at 95% bloat, or you are nearly out of
time (or you run out of ice to eat). Eat through the last layer to progress to
the next level.

It's probably one of the better games for getting NP. It's not too tough to get
over 500NP per game.

Information:
Getting a full stamp collection is extremely hard, but also a lot of fun, and
here is the place to do it. Basically each page of your album can contain 25
stamps, and is of a certain Neopian theme. There are 20 stamps that are easy-
ish to find, and then 5 stamps at the bottom that are ultra-holo-foil-
extremely-rare stamps.

When you find a stamp, go to your items, click on it and you will get the
option 'Put in Stamp Album'. Each stamp can be put in your album only once, and
bear in mind... once the stamp is in there is no way to get it out.... so if
you have a rare one and you want to trade, the best place for it is in your
safety deposit box.

Where do I find stamps?

Stamps will be available at the Post Office Kiosk (follow the link at the top
of the page). You may also find stamps around the site when a random event
happens, as the reward to signing up with a sponsor, or as the prize to one of
the many games.

Do I have to lick the stamps?

No, each Neopian Stamp Album comes with easy-to-use adhesive pads, so no
licking is required.

Good Luck Stamp Hunters!!!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

I suggest looking at the albums of the people that are high up the list for
this. Find the names of stamps you need, and see how much they are selling for

Information:
Legend has it that there was an ancient Geb named Sutek. He was stronger,
fitter, and cleverer than the other Gebs, and was praised by all for his
courage and wisdom. When he died, they built him a tomb that was the same shape
as him (known as a Gebmid). It had four triangular sides, and a square base.
There are now many Gebmids around the Lost Desert, but Sutek's was the first.

To stop people getting at Sutek's riches (millions of Neopoints), his advisors
placed a combination lock on the tomb. Strange symbols adorned an impassable
door. For the person who could figure out the pattern to unlock the tomb, well,
he would be the wealthiest person alive!

To play Sutek's Tomb you must swap two adjacent tiles (by clicking on each one
in turn). Your aim - to score points by getting three, four or five tiles in a
row. Set up combinations to earn bonus points. The Lucky Coin is indeed lucky,
as it acts as a wildcard, and the Bomb will destroy all the symbols in a row,
but only if it falls more than two blocks. Don't run out of time!!!

Zen Mode is just for stress relief. You can play for a very long period of time
but the NP is greatly reduced.

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

If you want a decent score, play on hard mode. You have 60 seconds to get as
many points as possible. Combos will give you extra time though, so make sure
you look for them.

A tip some people use is to get a screenshot, pause, and find available moves
that way. I only do this when I can't see a move to make immediately.

Information:
To understand what is going on here, you should read the Neopedia Article!

In the game you control Gilly, a poor Usul who was lost in the woods and
accidentally stumbled into the Castle of Eliv Thade seeking shelter. As you
enter, the heavy iron door slams shut, and locks behind you. Uh oh.

To escape, you must visit all four rooms, and collect an item from each, and
then head to the Crypt to put the spirit of Eliv Thade to rest. Beware, this
terrible spirit has been driven insane over the years and will do anything he
can to stop you escaping his domain.

You can move 1, 2, or 3 spaces using the mouse, but beware - each time you move
Thade will give you an anagram, and the further you try to move the harder the
anagram will be! Watch out for the cracked floor also - you don't want to fall
into the basement, oh no, that would be bad!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Just use an anagram solver in a different window. They generally have around
95% of the answers you'll need. It's the other 5% (often neopet related terms)
that's the problem. They are easy enough to find on the internet - use a search
engine. It's much harder to do yourself, but possible.

Don't land on a cracked tile. It isn't worth the risk. There are also two
hidden paths. You can find them for yourself :D

In their adventures across the planet of Kreludor, Gorix and Cylara uncover a
mysterious door covered with symbols. They don't know what is inside, it could
be treasure, or more importantly - clues that will help them find the secret of
Kreludor and defeat the evil Dr. Sloth.

To play Time Tunnel you have to work out what secret code of four coloured
stones opens the door. You have twelve tries in total. Click on each stone to
change its colour, and then press UNLOCK to submit your guess.

Once you have guessed the door will tell you how close your guess was to the
correct answer. An Orange mark means that the stone is the correct colour, but
in the wrong position. Each Green mark means that it's the correct colour in
the correct position, and a white coloured mark simply means an incorrect
stone.

Doctor Sloth is up to his old tricks again! His latest batch of robotic Neopets
did not go according to plan... they had no weapons, no malice, no anger...
they were useless for taking over the world, and so he threw them away... into
a place he knew they would never escape from...

Your job is to get these Robotic Neopets to safety. On each level you must use
each Neopet's special ability to try and guide all the Neopets into the exit
(little brown door) in the fastest time possible. Each Neopet has a special
ability (for instance the Kougra can dig and the Mynci can climb).

Lastly, watch out for the spikes, lava and other dangers that you would usually
find in the toybox of an evil scientist :) Good luck!

There's a great FAQ for this available on Gamefaqs already by KindarSpirit. I

game is a bit like Lemmings, but nowhere near as good (although Lemmings is one

Avatars available: One. Purchase the Secret Laboratory Map pieces (approx
550000 NP for the set!), and have the ray change your pets species.

Information:
Welcome to the treasure hunt! Hidden around the Neopets site are nine pieces of
a map that lead to riches! When you see a part of the map, come to this page
and you can see your progress. When the map is completed, you will be able to
collect your prize!

Each actual map piece is an item, and this means that it can be stolen, traded,
sold, auctioned, disintegrated, and so on... so be very careful!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Don't bother with the underwater or space maps. These are retired and cost a
fortune for little return. The lab map is expensive, but is the only way to get
certain colour combinations for pets (such as robot). It can also raise/lower
your pets stats, change gender and species. The original map gives you five
rare items and costs approx 130000 NP. The spooky map is the cheapest at around
70000 NP, and gives you some spooky food items.

Generally, the lab map is the most sought after one. The original and spooky
maps can pay off quite nicely, and are worth trying if you can afford them. You
can get map pieces from players shops, auctions and the trading post. You can
also get them from random events, but these are very rare.

The pirates of Krawk Island are notoriosly bad spelers, and that is why it's
always a good idea to pay a trip to Captain Roundhoof's pirate school! As we
all know, pirates have a very short attention span (unless they are plundering
ships or drinking grog), so Roundhoof devised a game to get his pirates to
learn.

In Word Poker you are given a scrambled up word and have to make as many words
as possible out of it in a time limit. There are six categories that you must
score points in, three-letter words, four-letter words, five-letter, full
house, flush and wild. After each 60 second round has finished, click on the
category that you did the best in, and that score will be saved. The game is
over after all six rounds are up.

It sounds confusing, and it is, but you will quickly get the hang of it :) Good
luck, and more importantly, Arrrr!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

You will be given 9 letters and your aim is to make as many words as possible.
I find this hard, but some things I can recommend are:
* Focus on one category at a time. For example, try to get as many 3 letter
words in the first round as possible, and ignore longer words.
* Look for plurals.
* Anagrams are another thing to look for. As an example, the letters A,T,R,S
can form art, arts, tar, tars, rat, rats, star, sat, as, at, a, tsar. Quite a
few, just from four letters.

Start by shooting the peanut out of the Elephante's trunk. Click on the left
and right arrow keys to power up your throw. Once you get as high as you can,
click the up arrow to throw.

Now help the Puppyblew chase the peanut down using the arrow keys again. Use
the right arrow to move the Puppyblew forward in the screen and stay lined up
with the shadow.

To avoid the logs, make the Puppyblew jump using one of the following key
combinations:

Left Up Right => Front Flip
Right Up Left => Back Flip
Up Right => Straight Jump
Left Right Left Right Up => 2x Front Flip
Right Left Right Left Up => 2x Backflip

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

With practice, this game should get you around 1500 NP (or more) per day. Quite
good, as it takes about 3 minutes per game.

Power up the power bar by hitting the left and right arrows alternately, as
much as you can. When the bar has reached the maximum you can get it, press up.
I can generally only just make the red part of the gauge, but then I'm not a
great button masher. When you can control the Puppyblew, hold the right arrow
until you are just to the left of the shadow. Your next task is to focus on
jumping as many logs as possible - each log you jump will earn you 10 points.
Any jump will do, I generally just do straight jumps. The final part is
catching the peanut. If you miss it, you will not score any points for that
throw, so make sure you do catch it! Try for super catches. These are when you
catch the peanut in mid air. It is 10 points for a regular catch, 30 for a
catch in a flip, and 50 points for catching it in the middle of a double flip!
Takes a little bit of practice to get the hang of, but it's worth the effort.
You score 10 points for every 10 metres the peanut travels.

I power up the bar until it turns red, straight jump all logs, and do a 2x
Front Flip catch. Generally I get around 210 points per throw for this. Not
much, but if you are good at the button mashing part (which I'm not), you
should easily beat that.

Computer speed can affect your scores in this game. Mine is NOT good, quite a
few games don't run very well, this is one. I don't play this as much as I
should, as it's quite a good game for quick NP. It also seems a bit glitchy, as
often when you enter the jump commands, nothing happens.

However, the marketing department of Virtupets Studios has been trying lately
to earn extra revenues from this game's popularity... you have been warned!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

The game starts easy, but quickly gets very tough. Focus more on clicking the
Go! icon, rather than closing ads, because as soon as you click the button 30
times you will finish the level. Only close ads which are in the way, you may
need to drag some with the menu bar of the ad to get the 'x' on screen so you
can close it.

I suggest running the game in full screen. It's up to you though, you may find
this is worse. I always seemed to click out of the game screen when I didn't
run it full screen, wasting a fair bit of time.

One annoying thing that happens: part way into level 6 or so, the game will
close itself. Even if you are a long way in front. Not sure why it happens, but
it is VERY annoying. It's the main reason I don't play this much.

Haven't played this much, but as far as I can tell, you need to keep YOUR
vehicles damage as low as possible. Computer cars often take themselves out, so
let them where possible. They drive in a straight line at you too. Get a
destroyed car between you and them and let them hit that car instead. Saves you
damaging your vehicle, and destroys there's (slowly). It'd probably be a fun
game with friends, but I haven't tried that yet. You can play 2-4 players on
one keyboard.

There is a glitch in this game too. Often at the end of a level, if you press
any key besides the space bar, you won't go to the next level. Nothing to do

A fun, colourful and exciting carnival used to move around Neopia, thrilling
its residents with their amazing shows... until THEY came... Moving to the
Haunted Woods may not have been the best idea.

Your job is to visit the haunted carnival and take on the Robot Chia Clowns.
Use the mouse to aim, and the mouse button to shoot. Collect the time, health,
and ammo bonuses for more time, health, and ammo respectively. Good Luck!

Another game I'm not very good at. The main targets are clowns legs when they
are floating down (1 hit kill) and the pies thrown at you. Clowns on the ground
take two shots to kill (I think). Bonus items are very handy (especially the
time), so try to get these when they are available.

Growing up at the Royal Nursery, Hagan and Skarl had an intense rivalry playing
games with their PluckoNM blocks. They would both try and build the biggest
castle, and then take it in turns to knock them down.

Playing as Hagan, your objective is to shoot your cannonball over to Skarl's
castle and knock the gold treasure outside of the red square. For additional
points, destroy the castle and knock over his silly Meridell flags!

To start, first select what type of castle Hagan will be using. Then click and
drag the green square with the gold treasure on it to the desired location on
the overhead map. From there the real fun begins. Use the arrow keys to aim
your cannon. Hold the Space Bar down to start to build up power and then let go
to release the cannonball. Whenever you defeat one of King Skarl's castles it
will be unlocked so you can select it the next time you play the game!

arrow key to accelerate and the down arrow key to reverse.

Information:
In this game, you play Samrin the Kacheek, a simple shepherd who has to get his
petpets to safety before Balthazar (who is very hungry after a day hunting
faeries) eats them all.

Use the Arrow Keys to move. You automatically pick up each petpet as you touch
it (use the Space Bar to drop the petpet). Try and put them all into the
paddock before Balthazar eats them. You have three lives, and you lose one each
time you, or a petpet gets eaten.

Picking up a Snowflake will freeze Balthazar temporarily, and picking up an
orange speed orb will give you a temporary burst of speed!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

If you have a choice to make between getting eaten yourself, or a petpet
getting eaten, choose the first option. This is especially true if it's the
bonus petpet. As you grab the last petpet, Balthazar will move to the top left
corner, and won't attack you. You can use this to pause the game if you really
want. I recommend putting the last petpet in the left hand entrance, so you are
near the corner where Balthazar appears on the next level, and can hopefully
save any petpets that may be eaten quickly.

Information:
Faerie Bubbles pop if you get three of the same type together, and it's up to
you to clear each level by popping all of them. Use the left and right arrow
keys to move the bubble cannon and press the space bar to fire.

If you get four or more bubbles together you will set off a combo. The first
three are good combos, and the bottom three are bad combos.

Water - This destroys all water bubbles on the screen.
Light - This changes all bubbles touching the combo to a random colour.
Fire - This burns all non-water bubbles that touch the combo.
Air - This is BAD. Don't do an air combo, seriously.
Earth - This makes a new line of bubbles appear.
Dark - All the bubbles in the combo will turn to random types.
The less moves you complete each level in, the higher your score will be. Also
look out for Nova and Rainbow bubbles, each with their own special effects!

Just in case you didn't know - you can click the little X in the top left hand
corner of the game board to get options such as turn music off and restart.

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Very similar to games such as Bust-A-Move. Follow the advice given in the
information section - do NOT do the last three combos if you can avoid it. You
may want to try using a ruler to see exactly where you are aiming as well, I
found it useful.

Information:
Neopians have been playing with cute little figurines for ages, completely
oblivious of the dark secrets behind their production...

In this game you play a factory worker employed by Krelufun Industries, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Virtupets, Inc (the corporate arm of Dr. Sloth's
empire.) It's nearing the end of the quarter, and management have just sold a
huge amount of little Neopet miniatures, much more than the factory could
produce, but that's not their problem is it... oh no... and if that order
cannot be fulfilled it's YOUR job on the line!

So it's your job to produce the miniatures. Over on the right hand side of the
screen you will see what colour miniature you have to produce next. Blobs of
liquid Kreludite scroll across the top of the screen. It is your job to make
sure (by clicking on them with the mouse) that they fall into the correct vat.
Red blobs go into the Red vat and so on.

Kreludite is a very unstable material, and prone to mutation. This is why you
will see different blobs scroll across at less frequent intervals. Each one has
a special effect, but you'll have to work them out for yourself. Lastly, watch
out for the Grundo Thief, he'll try and steal from your production line, but
you can click him to bump him on the head!

This is a game I've been meaning to try a bit more often, as it doesn't seem
very complex. More on special effects and other tips in a later update.

Sometimes a power-up will fall from the screen, if you pick this up with your

In this game, you play against a variety of opponents. You each get to roll one
of your bowls (yours are red, your opponent's are blue) down the green to try
and get it closest to the jack (the white ball). You may knock your opponent's
bowls out of play, and he may do the same to you, but if the jack goes out of
play your opponent gets 2 points.

At the end of each round, points are awarded depending on the number of bowls
in play that you have nearest to the jack. If there are two blue balls closest,
that means you score two points. The first to 7 wins the match, and moves on to
play a harder opponent! Lastly, watch out, in later levels there may be hazards
on the green that will hinder your play.

Bori. He may not be able to jump as high as Hannah, and he can't swim but Armin
can crawl through snow and destroy some enemies by running them over.

To complete each level you must guide both Hannah and Armin to the exit. Open

Hannah the Usul always wanted a life of danger. Unfortunately, working in a
tavern on Krawk Island was both boring and badly-paid. One day she was reading

monsters. Hannah couldn't wait - this was exactly the thing she'd been looking

Hubrid Nox has stolen all the Heroes from the Neopets Trading Card Game... all
part of his evil master plan to make sure that him and the other villains will

Kreludor can be a very harsh place for most visitors, and Gorix and Cylara are
no exception! They have crash-landed on Neopia's only moon and must navigate
across a dangerous lava-covered and monster-infested wasteland if they are to
escape!

In Moon Rock Rampage you play either Gorix or Cylara. Your job is to find all
the parts of your crashed Escape Ship so you can attempt to fix it and return
home. Use the arrow keys to move and the space bar to fire your "laser" gun or
push the blocks of moon rock. Shooting or pushing rock into enemies will kill
them, and pushing moon rock into the lava will allow you to walk over it.

You have three lives, so be very careful. We're all counting on you to get home
safely!

Information:
Whenever there was trouble, Harry was ready. He was a commando first and a
Mootix second, and danger was his middle name (which was nice because he didn't
have a last one.)

In Mootix Drop you play Harry, and your job is to successfully parachute down
into a number of increasingly hard missions. Using the latest Mootix technology
your target has been digitally superimposed on the ground below you, and you
have to hit as close to the centre of the target as possible.

To play, use the space bar to launch, and the arrow keys to guide Harry to the
target. On the way down there will be a number of rings to fly through. Make
sure you guide Harry through as many as possible in order to maximise your
score. Flying through the centre of a ring will give you double points! If you
quickly tap left or right twice in succession, Harry will do a barrel roll.

Once you have completed easy mode you will be given the option to progress to
medium, and then eventually hard modes. Good luck!

Information:
Mystery Island is great, it's hot most of the year, and there is always a
beautiful tropical breeze. Why not head down to the beach and play a spot of
Volleyball? Mynci Beach Volleyball to be precise!

To play, simply use the arrow keys to go left, right and jump. Hit the ball
over the net, and try and make it land in the opponent's court.

                                   -------

Controls for this game are very easy, left and right moves your character left
and right, up makes the mynci jump. For two player games, these are the
controls for the right player (player two), player one uses Z for left, X for
right and S to jump.

Player 1 (blue mynci on the left side of the net) always begins the game with
the ball, player 2 (or the computer controlled player) is the red mynci.

The aim of the game is to score 12 points before your opponent does, but you
also must have a majority of at least 2 points (you cannot win a game 12 to 11;
a score of 13 to 11 would end the game though (as would 14 to 12, or any other
margin of 2 points or more). To score points, you make the ball land on the
ground on the opponents side of the net. The player that wins a point will
serve the ball on the next point.

Serving is the key to the game, and if you can master it, you will win a lot
more easily, especially against a computer controlled player. To serve, simply
jump whilst moving either left or right. The ball will go diagonally in the
direction you are facing, so if you are player one, you want to run towards the
net (right) before jumping. For best results, try to hit the ball so it lands
towards the back part of the court on the opponents side. The computer player
has a lot more trouble this way than if it just clears the net or lands near
the middle of the court. Practice – it takes a while to get good at, I know I
still haven't mastered it, but I am getting better.

Generally, you won't win the point on the serve every time, especially in later
levels. If you don't, and the opposition player hits it back to you, and you
will have to move to stop the ball from landing on the ground on your side.
This is probably obvious, but if you were wondering why you weren't getting any
points – this is probably why :). Position yourself under the ball, and let it
bounce of your head. As a myncis' head is rounded, and the ball is as well, it
will not usually bounce straight upwards. If the ball hits the front of your
head, it will bounce back the way it came (what you normally want), if it hits
the back, it will go away from the net. If the ball hits the edge of screen, it
will bounce off: there is no out of bounds shots in this game. Getting used to
the angles a ball will bounce at off heads, the edge of screen, and the net
(yes, the ball bounces off the net if you don't hit it high enough – it can't
go underneath, and it will also bounce off the top of the net) is crucial to
winning the game. See below. It's not a great diagram, but you try drawing a
circle in a text file! It's meant to roughly represent the directions a ball
will bounce if it hits a mynci's head (the lines show the direction).

                             |

Game score (NOT the points you and your opponent get in each round, but the one
that appears on your high score list, and earns you NP) is based on the
following formula. If you lose a round, you score 5 points for every game point
you scored in that round. If you win a round, you earn 50 points, plus 10
points for every point you beat your opponent by. A winning score of 12 to 3
for example earns 50 + 90 (12 minus 3 = 9, multiplied by 10), or 140 points. If
you win a round, you continue to a new round, where the opponent is a bit
tougher. There are a total of six rounds. Your total score is the total of what
you earned in every round. I'm not sure if there is a bonus for completing the
sixth round, as I haven't managed to do it yet :P.

A strategy you could possibly use to get a very high score (not tested – you
have been warned) is to lose in the first round with a very high score (say 502
to 500). In this case, you would earn 5 points for every point scored (in this
case your score would be 2500!) You need to be VERY good at the game to do this
though, as you need to win every second point without mucking up once. I'm not
sure if there is a cap to the points you can earn per round anyway, it may stop
at 99 for example. Worth trying if you are good at the game, as it could get
you the trophy! Could also get your account frozen, but if you do from this
method, link them here, and tell them I said hello!

That it? Nope. Notice the green bird that appears on screen occasionally?
(Note: it's actually a petpet called a pawkeet). Hit this with the ball, and
you will activate a bonus! Some of these are useful, some are not, and they are
chosen at random. The following bonuses are available:

Giant ball!: This increases the size of the ball you are hitting. Makes it less
likely that you will miss the ball, but it also means your opponent will also
be more likely to hit it back. This is not very useful really, unless you want
a long match.

Supersize!: Your mynci will suddenly become about twice the size if you pick
this up. Although this sounds useful, it makes aiming your shots a lot harder.
Surprisingly, it is nearly easier to score against the computer player when
they are larger, as they can't seem to judge it as well when it's close to the
net or the edge wall. Flat shots that just clear the net seem to be quite hard
to return when you have this bonus active as well. Overall, it is not a bad
pickup whichever player gets it.

Watch the Turdle!: This one is great if you can get it, not great if your
opponent gets it. It will make a turdle appear on the opponents side of the net
(a turdle is a type of petpet), if the opponent touches it, they will be held
in that position for about three seconds. In this time, try to hit the ball to
a spot where your opponent won't be able to get to, and you can score an easy
point. If the turdle is on your side of the net, don't panic. You can use a few
methods to get away with it. You can either jump over the turdle (not always
easy), or hit a shot back that bounces high off the net, then stepping on the
turdle. This method should mean that the opponent won't have time to score a
winning point before you can move again. If it appears when you are about to
serve, it's even better. Just step on it, and don't press up. You can then wait
until you can move again before serving. Alternatively, if the turdle is on
your side of the net, grab another bonus to make the turdle disappear.

Superspeed!: Want to move a bit faster? This ability sure will make that
happen. Unfortunately, it can make you move a little bit TOO fast, meaning you
will sometimes go past the ball as you scramble to return a well placed shot.
It is one of the better abilities for a computer opponent to have in later
levels, as they seem to have even more trouble than I do coping with the extra
speed. I don't mind the ability if I get it, it is a lot better to be sped up
in this game than in some of the other games on the site.

Superjump!: Can't jump quite high enough to reach the ball at times and want to
go a bit higher? Then this is the ability for you. Take it, keep it, your
welcome to it! Just keep it away from me! AHHHH I HATE THIS ABILITY!!!!! As you
jump nearly as high as you hit the ball, you land at about the same time the
ball does. If the ball hasn't cleared the net, you have no chance whatsoever of
hitting the ball again before it touches the ground. Obviously, if your
opponent gets it (especially if they are human), it can be quite useful. When
your opponent has it, wait until a pawkeet just disappears before serving. As
they pop up around every 15 seconds, you will normally be able to have a few
chances to score on them, and your opponent will be less likely to be able to
get another ability. It's called strategy, friends! Kind of nasty, but I don't
feel any regret. This is probably the best ability a computer opponent can
have, as they struggle with it a fair bit too.

Small net!: I think it's quite obvious what this ability does, but believe it
or not, it makes the net a lot smaller! It means you are less likely to hit it
into the net, and allows for flatter shots. Unfortunately, it is an ability
that helps both players, as the net doesn't suddenly go back to full size after
you hit it over. Any ability that makes it easier for your opponent to score is
not good, so this is one of the worse abilities.

Big net!: For 100NP, what does this ability do? A) Turn you into a Koi, B) Turn
you inside out C) Blow up your opponent or D) Make the net taller than usual.
Did you choose answer D? I sure hope so, as that is exactly what happens, as
I'm sure you could tell from the name of the ability. (Note: I'm not really
giving you 100NP, earn your own damn NP! If you can't get at least that from
one game of Mynci Beach Volleyball after reading all this, I pity you.) With a
larger net, the ball is a bit harder to hit over, for both you and your
opponent. Anything that makes it harder for your opponent is great, but as it's
a level playing field (it's also harder for you), this ability is not
brilliant. It has it's uses though, I like getting this when playing against
one of my friends who likes hitting flat shots over the net.

That's it for types of abilities, there are only 7 available. As I mentioned
briefly before, pawkeets appear every 15 seconds during the game, and they stay
on screen for 5 seconds. This means that 1/3 of the time during play you have
the chance to get an ability. To be honest – I try not to get any abilities,
but if the computer player gets them, I don't really care. There are very few
ways they can hurt you if they get an ability, maybe the turdle; the three that
change ball or net size are just annoying. If your opponent gets any of the
three super abilities, it just makes it easier for you.

Each player can only have one ability active at a time. If you get a supersize
ability for example, you will stay large until you hit another pawkeet. If you
like a certain ability (lets say the small net for example), if you get this
from a pawkeet – don't hit another one. The only way it can then be removed is
if an opponent gets either the giant ball ability (sounds painful :P) or the
big net. If they get any of the other five abilities, the net will stay small.
Any that affect you alone (the three "super" abilities) can only be removed by
hitting a pawkeet yourself.

There are a couple of glitches in the game that I have noticed. In two player
mode, if Player two wins, it puts a message on screen saying "Congratulations,
player two has beaten player two". The last part is wrong, it should be player
one, not player two. Another one that's can be quite handy (or annoying) is
that sometimes superspeed will stay after you get another ability. Not sure why
this happens.

weapons by killing pteris. This gets quite tough after the first few levels -
very fast, and lots of enemies. Try to get at least one upgrade for your weapon

Information:
While the ordinary people of Meridell farm the fields, gather the crops in and
otherwise lead a simple life, way above their heads something far from simple
is taking place.

Yes, for those with the time, and the money to afford it there is no feeling
like building a plane and taking off into the skies! In this game you play a
young pilot who has unfortunately enountered a band of ruthless sky-pirates who
challenge you to a duel. Don't worry - it's not deadly (you did pack a couple
of parachutes). Use your pop-gun to shoot the bandits out of the air. Also, pop
the Kiko Blimps to find bonuses (but watch out for the falling baskets!)

To play, use the arrow keys to rotate left and right, and m , or . to fire. You
start on the right-hand side in single player mode. There is also a two-player
mode where you can challenge a friend!

You can only score points from this game the first 3 times you play daily.

IMPORTANT: You will not be able to send your score, this happens automatically
after you splat, and once you play you have to close the window to play again.

Those Mystery Island natives really do know how to have fun - and this latest

You're a cashier at the National Neopian, and it's an extremely busy day! Not
only are people coming in by the dozen to deposit money, a nasty band of
thieves has decided to come and steal it all. It's your job to work the
security system to keep the customers in and the robbers out!

To control the security system you must use the keyboard. The keys S, D, F
control the three doors to the left of the screen, and the keys J, K, L control
the other three. Only press the security system when you see a robber! You'll
recognise the bad guys by their wanted posters below. Also, there is a rumour
that a new mystery criminal who has recently escaped jail is on the loose.

If you don't activate the alarm, the robber will steal half of your Neopoints!
(the ones in the game, not the ones you have earned!) Also, pressing the alarm
for no reason will cost you for unnecessary use of the alarm system (it's
expensive to maintain!) Lastly, you can press the Space Bar to turn 100 NP into
a big gold bar (robbers can't steal those as they are too heavy!)

Mini Golf takes on a whole new meaning in the hazardous, prehistoric land of
Tyrannia. Choose from three different characters, and three different types of
golf ball, and try and complete all 9 holes in the least number of putts.

To play, first choose a character. Some hit the balls farther than others, so
experiment and find out which one suits you best. Next, choose a ball, each
ball has a different weight. Use your mouse to control the angle and power for
your shot (the bigger the oval the farther the ball will travel).

Remember to avoid the lava and sand pits, they will slow your ball down. Try
and finish each hole in par or less to earn more points!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

This is a good game for some quick NP. Once you learn the 10 items you need to
collect (it never changes), you can get about 800-900 NP in 3 minutes.

While the game starts, check the room you start in. Get any sets you need, then
go right into the bathroom, up into the dining room, then left twice. This way
you don't have to return to a room after getting all the sets in there.
Sometimes you will have to pick up an incorrect set, if this happens, you need
to go to the nearest shelf, which are only found in the bedroom, bathroom and
dining room.

Information:
In this game you play a hungry Spyder. The poor little unsuspecting Vernax are
just merrily trotting around, minding their own business, and it's your job to
capture them and gobble them up!

To play, you use the mouse. You have to spin your webs and try and capture the
Vernax in the smallest area possible. To make a web, click the left mouse
button somewhere on the game area, drag the mouse in the direction you wish to
go, and then release the button, you will then start moving in that direction.
Once you hit a web, or the edge of the screen your web will turn a solid grey
colour. To trap a Vernax try and enclose it in the smallest area possible.

Beware - if one of the Vernax hits your web before it hardens you will lose a
life. Also, you are against the clock... Spyders have very fast metabolisms,
and if you run out of time you will starve. If that wasn't enough, a mutant Red
Spyder will appear in the later levels to eat your web!

Lastly, pick up Spyder Bites for extra points. Good luck!

Making small areas gets higher points, but will cause you to make a mistake if

Avatars available: Two. For the first you need to get a score of 24 (4 sixes)
plus a 1 and a 4. It is random if you get the avatar or not. The second
requires you to WIN (not tie) 10 games in a row.

Scoring:
Choose your ante (initially only 10NP and 50NP are available. More become
available as you win more money). Beat the other 3 contenders to win 3 * your
ante. Tie the best opponent to get it back. Get beaten by any of the three and
you lose your bet.

NP Ratio: Up to 5000NP per day.
Trophies: Cumulative. There is also a trophy for most consecutive wins.

Information:
Bilge Dice is the latest and greatest dice game to hit Neopia! It takes a
little bit of luck and a little bit of strategy to really master. Players take
turns rolling a series of dice and the one with the highest total in the end is
the winner. There is one catch - players must have secured a roll of 1 and a
roll of 4 before the end in order for the player's score to count.

Players begin by rolling six dice. Each turn, you must select one or more dice
to remove and be placed in the scoring pool. Once you have kept at least one
die, the choice of re-rolling the remaining dice becomes available. If you re-
roll the dice, you must keep at least one die before being able to re-roll
again. In essence, you choose one or more dice to keep each round until no dice
remain.

In order for your final score to count, you must also fill the qualification
requirements. These can be met by selecting to keep a 1 and a 4 at some point
during the game. As you'll see, the first 1 and 4 you select to keep
automatically go toward the qualifiers.

If the player goes through all the dice, and is unable to keep a 1 and 4 before
the end, that player is disqualified and loses.

If the player does fill the 1 and 4 requirements, the remaining four dice are
added together to form that player's score. Which ever player has the highest
score is the winner. In the event of a tie, it is called a "push" and the ante
will be returned to the players.

Good Luck!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Not my favourite game, but it's a game I play very occasionally. Save the 1 and
4 as soon as they appear. It's a bit of a risk with the other dice. Save any
sixes that appear after you get both compulsory dice. I generally keep anything
above a four, but I only save the highest one, then re-roll IF I don't have
BOTH the 1 and 4. Hard to explain, but try it out and you'll find a method
which works for you. Or you could be unlucky, like me and lose nearly every
game.

One other thing. Assuming you have three dice left and can re-roll. Let's
assume you roll a 2 and two 1's. You have to save at least one of these. Save
the 2 and re-roll the 1's. You can't get any lower, so there's no point saving
them. This is a common occurrence for me, and quite often I'll still re-roll
two one's. It seems like it anyway.

Slot machines can SERIOUSLY eat through your NP. Mimics real life this way I
guess. The jackpot is worth it though IF you can win it (very unlikely). Set a
limit of how much you are prepared to lose and STICK TO IT! I recommend playing
all 9 lines, but it's up to you. The three treasure chest bonus can get you a
dubloon, but I've never won one this way. I also put the minimum bet (1NP) on
each line. You don't win as much, but I don't have the NP to be wasting on
these games.

To win, simply get 3 or more matching symbols in a row (starting from the left

only have to get 2 of those. The Geb (the little pyramid guy) is a wildcard,
and will match any other symbol, and to win the Jackpot (which goes up every

It's the new craze sweeping Neopia - buy your cheese from the cheese shop, and
then see how fast you can run down a hill with it. It's that simple! If you
manage to get down the hill in under a minute, you get to keep the cheese!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

You need to know the names of the cheeses you can use firstly. The names and
prices are as follows:

Spicy Juppie Cheese - 150np
Smoked Snorkle Cheese - 300np
Triple Mustard Cheese - 450np
Honey Cheese - 600np
Big Beefy Cheese - 750np
Purple Spotted Cheese - 900np
Brain Cheese - 1,050np
Alkenore Cheese - 1,200np
Mutated Cheese - 1,350np
Bubbling Blueberry Cheese - 1,500np
Tyrannian Dung Cheese - 1,650np
Quadruple Fudge Cheese - 1,800np
Brick Cheese - 1950np
Gooey Snot Cheese - 2100np
Peppermint Cheese - 2250np
Overgrown Cheese - 2400np
Heavy Bark Cheese - 2550nps
Warty Blue Cheese - 2700nps
Ummag Cheese - 2850nps
Furry Chocomint Cheese - 3000nps

As for strategy, it's all luck as far as I can tell which option you should
choose. The cheese should sell for more than what you pay for it if you manage
to win. I'm not sure which cheese works best, I've played twice and used the
cheapest both times.

I hate this, a lot of people really like it. I've probably played about 200
games, and never made it to the yellow dice (the 4th one), let alone the silver
dice. I rarely even get to the green dice (3rd dice). Apparently you can get a
lot of really nice items from it, but these are only from the green, yellow and
silver dices.

The only real advice I can give is NEVER take the pot. You may also want to
keep your inventory open in another window, as I believe on the last two dices,
the pant devil can appear and steal items from you. This way you can put any
items you receive into your safety deposit box.

Ahhhh... all the fun that can be had down on the farm! Why not have a go at one
of Meridell's more popular pastimes - guessing the weight of the Marrow!

That there is a picture of me with 'Old Bessie', the biggest Marrow ever grown
in these parts, and most probably the whole of Neopia, all 100 tons of her. In
honour of her memory, we have a daily guessing competition of the weight of the
biggest marrow grown on the farm on each day. Want to have a go?

I've been living in Meridell for years now, it's so peaceful and serene (and I
get to be as far away from those Dark Faeries as possible!) Anyway, I have a
couple of jobs that you may be interested in. If you can fetch me some items
from around Neopia, I can reward you with some of these cool things I have made
over the years... aren't they pretty!

How about we start off with a few easy errands, and go from there. I don't want
to waste TOO much of your time but I really do have to get these items you
know...

Unfortunately, if you don't find my item within the time limit, then I'm going
to put you right back on the easy quests! Interested??

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

I only did this quest for the avatar. The items you are asked for become more
expensive as you progress. You get items approximately every 3 levels, I'll
include them in a later version. Generally these can be bought very cheaply on
the shop wizard, up to the level 30 or so items anyway. Make sure you have
quite a lot of NP on hand before trying this, and you would need to be VERY
lucky to get to level 50.

Pointless game, but it's one for younger children I guess. It's very easy, and
you can't lose NP from playing it. Unfortunately, the amounts you get are also
very small.

Interesting point (sort of anyway): If you read the information bit above, it
says there are locations in Maraqua and the Spooky Woods. That's incorrect.
It's just another of the numerous errors you can find on the site, which can be

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

For the first guess, you have to choose out of 2 Mortogs, 3 the second guess,
then 4 etc. I normally bomb out on the second guess, and I've only guessed the
third one right once. Rewards for getting to the end are VERY nice (250,000

money from it if you played it enough, but like most luck based games, I'm not
a big fan of it.

confusing game ever to hit the shores of Krawk Island, or, well.. the whole of

There simply aren't enough Dubloons around to play this game, so the pirates
gladly accept Neopoints :) Krawps is a dice game where you place different bets

We recommend you read the rules before playing - click the green 'Rules' button

Information:
How do I play Scorchy Slots? Scorchy Slots costs 5NP to play. In order to start
a new game click on the Play Again button. This will automatically deduct 5NP
from you.

What is the aim of the game? You need to get three of four of the same item in
a row on the win line in order to win. If you have three of the same in the win
line, but there is another item between them, you have not won.
What can I win? You can win anything from the small prize of 1NP up to the
grand prize of the jackpot. You can even win all 6 faeries (one of each type).
The winning scale is shown in detail here.
What are holds? To help you get a win you may be given the chance to hold. If
so you will see four check boxes under each reel. If you check a box and then
spin the reels the reel you have checked will hold position and not spin.

What does the feature do? You may notice that some of the fruits have numbers
on them. If you get a fruit with a number three on it then the feature bar
lights up three places and so on. Sometimes your progress up the feature bar is
held until the next go and any additional numbers you get are added on. If you
light up all the numbers on the feature bar you win a random prize. This could
be a very good prize or a not so great thing - you may even lose NP.

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

If given a chance, go for the faeries, map pieces or jackpot when you can hold
reels. If none are showing, choose whatever you want. Any other wins are
minimal, but the jackpot, map pieces and faeries are worth trying for.

Scoring:
100% of total sales, + 5000NP / # of winners.

NP Ratio: Costs 100NP to buy a ticket.
Plays per day: I think there's a limit of 10 tickets.
Trophies: Not sure exactly how these work, but you get them by winning a
jackpot.

Information:
The Neopian Lottery is run everyday at 4am NST. It costs 100 Neopoints to play,
and 100% of the prizes are shared amongst the players, plus a 5,000 Neopoint
bonus!!!

To purchase a lottery ticket, please enter six numbers between 1 and 30 in the
boxes below. The person with the most numbers matching wins :)

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

I never enter, but the jackpots are reasonably high (up to around 2 million
NP). Odds of getting all six numbers are a bit under 1/600000, but it is
usually won with 5 correct (Around 1/5200 odds if my maths are correct). It's
hard to say if it's worth trying to win it or not. Give it a shot I guess.

Welcome to my Tombola! Great prizes to be won, just put your hand (or paw) in,
pick up a tombola ticket, and see what prize you win. Anything ending with a 0,
2 or 5 is a winner!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

I seem to get junk items about 40% of the time, and win about 10% of the time.
Sometimes prizes are quite good (bottled faeries and codestones), but usually
it'll be gross food or island merchandise. Do it every day anyway, as it's free
anyway.

The more guesses you get right, the more NP you will win!

        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************

Not bad, but I have issues with it. I got a score good enough for a silver
trophy at one time, and unfortunately trophies weren't being awarded then, due
to problems with the site. Very annoying!

As to strategy, generally if the card is 2-6, choose tyranu. If it's 10-Ace,
choose evavu. 7, 8 and 9 are the tough ones. It's all luck, and this strategy
will not always work, but it is likely to work more times than not. Also, take
your time before picking either tyranu or evavu, as they frequently switch the
order they appear on screen. It's easy to remember which is which though:
"tyranu" has 6 letters, as does "higher". "evavu" and "lower" have 5 letters.

Nerkmids are very expensive, around 70000 NP for the cheapest ones I believe.
You get them from random events, or from shops, etc. I believe it's a rip off,
but if you are an avatar collector, you may want to try it once.

Welcome, scholars and scholaresses to the Wheel of Knowledge. You could win

NP Ratio: 500 NP per spin
Plays for NP: 1 per 24 hours

Codes: No.

Trophies: NA

                                    ~~~~~
Most prizes are not worth the 500 NP. Books are reasonably common, and sell for
about 1000 NP. Windows, scrolls and job coupons are also possible. The majority
of the time you will land on the brightvale berry (worth under 10 NP), game
cheat (listed here anyway), spin again, or wisdom (completely worthless). I
normally spin when I can for the chance of a job coupon though, which can be
sold for a fair amount. Best prize I've had would be a Scroll of Dark Nova.
Game Type: Flash
Category: Luck/Chance
Avatars available: One. I got it by landing on the paintbrush.
NP Ratio: 100NP to spin
Plays per day: 1
Information:
*YAWN* I guess you're here to try the wheel, right. Well, go ahead... spin as
hard as you can. While you wait for it to stop spinning why not pull up a
chair, make yourself a cup of hot dung and read a book or something.
        **************** Ringworm's Hints and Tips ****************
You can only spin it once a day, and I do whenever I get the time. I strongly
recommend opening a new browser window to play this, as it will take between
half an hour and three hours to stop spinning. After you spin the wheel, you
can NOT close the browser window until it has stopped, or you will forfeit any
prize.
If you are interested to know how long the wheel will spin for, open the
following link in a DIFFERENT browser window to the wheel:
http://www.neopets.com/prehistoric/monotony/wheel_mono_get_prize.phtml
You will see something like: server=Our records show that the wheel hasn't
finished spinning!&timeleft=1677000. Take the number at the end, remove the
three zeros at the end, and the number remaining (1677) is the amount of
seconds until the wheel will stop (roughly - may be up to a few minutes off).
Divide this by 60 to find the amount of minutes (27 mins, 57 secs). If you see
server=done, the wheel will stop fairly soon.
I have labelled this section "Hidden Games", however, it could also be called
"Non Game Room Games" (or something similar). Many of the games are found
throughout various parts of the site. I've also included a section on sponsored
games. Generally, these can be found in the game room, but not all games are
available to everybody, and they are often only on the site for a few months.
Which sponsored games appear in the game room depends on your country and
language settings in your profile – people in Singapore may get different games
to those in Japan or the United States for example.
Sponsored games: These are found throughout the site, and there are usually a
few to be found in the game room. A good way to find some is to visit the
scores of people with a lot of trophies, and you will see links to a lot of
sponsored games there. I haven't played very many lately, but for links to a
lot of the older sponsor games (some are still playable), check my lookup. My
user name is ringwormrulez.
Jelly Blobs of Doom: This is found in the hidden Jelly World. This can be found
here: http://www.neopets.com/jelly/index.phtml
The game itself is quite easy, but very boring. You need to eat jellies that
are smaller than your chomby (which grows slowly as it eats). Takes a bit of
practice, but once you've got the hang of it, it's fairly easy to get a decent
score.
Bouncy Supreme: This is also found in Jelly World, see above for the link.
In the game, you are a blumaroo, and you need to bounce from column to column.
The first few jumps are easy, as you get an on screen guide, after that, it
gets a bit harder. Timing the jumps perfectly (getting all the coins) will give
you extra time.
Haunted House: Located in the Haunted Woods, this is a "choose your own
adventure" style game. I've never played it myself (there's no reward for it),
but a full guide will be available soon.
Kadoatery: Located on the main shops map, this is a game that involves you
giving a particular food item to the kadoaties. Roughly every 30 mins, you will
get a chance to give them an item of food they are looking for. This can be as
simple as a can of neocola, and may be something as rare as a blue draik egg.
Feeding even one kadoatie will get you a trophy, feeding 75 will earn you an
avatar as well. Simply click on the cage of a kadoatie that needs feeding with
the item in your inventory and you will feed it.
Brain Tree Quests: Located in the Haunted Woods, the brain tree will ask you to
give him the date and location of somebodies death. How do you find this? You
MUST finish two esophagor quests (see below). Websites that list the answers
are out of date, as the answers are no longer fixed. Even by guessing, and
getting the correct answer, you will not finish the quest. Prizes are
reasonable, but don't spend more than around 3000 NP on the two esophagor
quests. I also suggest starting an esophagor quest first, and making sure that
quest is cheap. This way, you'll have a much better chance of finishing the
quest, and not spending a fortune. Reward is a battle item or petpet, and a few
thousand NP.
Esophagor Quests: Only do these quests if you are asked for items totalling
less than around 1000 NP. That's my limit anyway. You will be asked for 1-3
spooky foods. You will receive any item on the site as a prize, generally
rarity 75 or less. Some prizes can be worthwhile (up to around 20000 NP), but
often it's only worth about 300 NP.
Kitchen Quests: It's hard to give a total on what you should spend on these, as
different people have different ideas. The rewards are around 1000 NP, a stat
boost, or an item, generally rarity 75-90. You are asked to bring back 3 or 4
food items. Some can be very expensive. I generally limit myself to around 5000
NP in total. I've received a few good rewards though (a 35K stamp and a 75K
food item). If your pet is a high level, this can be one of the cheapest
methods of training.
Snow Faerie Quests: Located on Terror Mountain, Taelia the snow faerie will ask
for 2-4 foods and/or magic potions. The price range for these can vary from a
few hundred NP to 50000 or more. I don't do any quests over 4000 total. Reward
is a few thousand NP, a snowball, and an item – generally rarity 50-85. I've
received a Taelia Negg as a reward (worth 100000 NP), and a few other decent
items (over 10000 NP). This is one of the better quests to do. You get an
avatar for completing your first quest.
Edna the Witch's Quests: Located in the Haunted Woods, I believe you should NOT
do these quests. VERY occasionally they pay off (if they are less than 300 NP).
Generally she will ask for 1-3 items worth up to about 2000NP. The reward is
around 180 NP and a spooky food (generally worth under 100 NP). VERY rarely,
you will get something good, such as a beast burger, or a tongue wrap. You can
get an avatar as a random reward for finishing a quest, but this is also very
rare. Many people have completed over 100 quests without getting it (it took me
at least 70 quests).
Game Graveyard: Whenever a game is retired from the site, it is moved here. You
can still play these games, but you can't earn NP from them, or submit scores.
I will probably include more in the future, such as book club, various
spotlights, and a few others I'm missing (such as the two wheels not in the
game room, and buried treasure). For now, this entire section is very basic,
but it will be a lot more in depth after I complete some more of the game room
games. I'll definitely go into more detail for the jelly world games as well,
and I'll also describe the games in the game graveyard.
Got problems? Read the guide thoroughly. Couldn't find an answer there? Read
on, and you may find it here. These cover very general information, if I
included questions for specific games, this section would be as long as the
rest of the guide.
Q. What are the best games to play? Which give the most NP per game?
A. Games you find fun. Different people find different games easy – I could
list games I'm quite good at, and other people may struggle to get 10 points
for the game. There are NO specific games that I would recommend as good NP
earners either for much the same reason.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Q. What are game challenges?

A. Note to self, I need to make a section for this in a later update. You may
notice at the bottom of most flash based games, there is a button to send a
challenge. This section is still in beta testing right now, I'll add more when
it is finally fully implemented. It is basically a way to make NP and gain
items by comparing single player scores between two different people.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Q. How can I make 10000 NP a day from games (or more)?
A. Well, that's quite a reasonable amount to be earning a day. If you earn 10K
per day, in just over 3 months, you'll be a millionaire! Is it easy to do? You
bet! With over 150 games to play, you can do this with ease. It's just a matter
of finding games you are good at, or really like. Generally, anybody will be
able to find 8 games where they can earn at least 400 NP per game. Playing
these 8 games 3 times each will earn you 9600 NP – not too bad. I normally play
10 or so games per day (takes me around 90 mins for the games I play), and can
earn 14-15000 from these. It's possible to earn 50000 NP per day from playing
games (or more) if you have enough time.
More to come when I think of them.
Well that's about it for now. I've tried to make the above information as
complete and accurate as possible, but to do such a thing, when the games
available are constantly changing is not an easy task. Hopefully the
information here will help you out, it should provide knowledge and information
to all players, no matter their skill and experience level.
Getting this information complete, and most importantly keeping it that way is
going to be a massive job, and as such, this file will probably continue to
increase in size (I wouldn't be surprised if it is over a megabyte of text by
the time I'm finished, which is HUGE). I apologise in advance to people on
dialup connections, which I have myself, but it will always be worth the
download.
I'm not asking for anything in return for writing this guide, the fact that
this information will help a lot of people improve their gaming experience is
enough reward. If you really want though, I can always do with a few more
referrals (see the link at the very top of the guide). I do accept any items
donated though (naturally, I can't see any reason you wouldn't accept), but I
will state once again this is NOT required, and DEFINITELY not expected. I have
received some items from random people in the past, and I have no idea how they
got my name. I really appreciate everything I get though, as to be honest,
everything helps when you only get an hour or so a day to play.
