Are you having trouble with Plushie Tycoon? Do you want one of those nifty
trophies for your cabinet? Or do you just want that prize money? If you
answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the guide for you. In the
following article, I have provided 2 guides to Plushie Tycoon. Guide 1, a short
guide for beginners to get a bronze trophy and 25,000 neopoints and Guide 2, a
full guide (results may vary) for more advanced players to get a silver trophy
and possibly even a gold trophy (not guaranteed). If this is your first time
playing Plushie Tycoon, then you may want to read this section, but if you are
an advanced player then you may easily skip over the following sections.
+------------+
The Basics
+------------+
+-------------------------+
Section 1: Your Factory
+-------------------------+
Your factory is where you manufacture all plushies. Your factory runs from
9am-5pm game time and updates at the :01 of every hour (e.g. 10:01 AM or 3:01
PM). It costs 980 neopoints rent for a size 1 factory. The maximum size of a
factory is 9, which lets you have 18 jobs running at once, 2 for each size. The
prices for rent on each size factory are as followed:
Size 1: 980 neopoints
Size 2: 1960 neopoints
Size 3: 2940 neopoints
Size 4: 3920 neopoints
Size 5: 4900 neopoints
Size 6: 5880 neopoints
Size 7: 6860 neopoints
Size 8: 7840 neopoints
Size 9: 8820 neopoints
In your factory, you must always have 1 manager, so be sure to always keep an
extra 1000 neopoints on hand to pay him. All the types of workers and their
salaries are as follows:
Dropouts: 4 neopoints per hour
Graduates: 9 neopoints per hour
Trainees: 14 neopoints per hour
Journeymen: 25 neopoints per hour
Managers: 82 neopoints per hour
To get the maximum amount of work done, hire 1 manager for every 10 workers.
(e.g. 200 workers, 20 managers or 40 workers, 4 managers.) Now to move on to
Section 2: Your Warehouse.
+---------------------------+
Section 2: Your Warehouse
+---------------------------+
Your warehouse is where you can ship all completed plushie jobs to your store.
Unlike your factory, your warehouse runs and updates 24 hours a day. It costs
940 neopoints rent for a size 1 factory. The maximum size of a warehouse is 9,
letting you load a job of 100 plushies in about 25-30 minutes. Prices and
loading times for each size are as follows:
Size 1: 940 neopoints 4 ˝ hours
Size 2: 1880 neopoints 4 hours
Size 3: 2820 neopoints 3 ˝ hours
Size 4: 3760 neopoints 3 hours
Size 5: 4700 neopoints 2 ˝ hours
Size 6: 5640 neopoints 2 hours
Size 7: 6580 neopoints 1 ˝ hours
Size 8: 7520 neopoints 1 hour
Size 9: 8460 neopoints ˝ hour
Now, the basic job of 100 plushies will cost 278 neopoints to ship. Shipping
time to your store will always be 5 minutes. There is no limit to the amount of
plushies your warehouse can hold, so you may think, why would I want to expand
it? Expanding your warehouse lets you load plushies faster, as I have shown
above. Now, we move on to section 3: Your Store
+-----------------------+
Section 3: Your Store
+-----------------------+
Your store is where you can sell all your plushies. Like your factory, it runs
9am-5pm game time. For a size 1 store it costs 1350 neopoints rent. Like the
factory and warehouse, your store can be up to size 9. Rent for each size store
is:
Size 1: 1350 neopoints
Size 2: 2700 neopoints
Size 3: 4050 neopoints
Size 4: 5400 neopoints
Size 5: 6750 neopoints
Size 6: 8100 neopoints
Size 7: 9450 neopoints
Size 8: 10800 neopoints
Size 9: 12150 neopoints
Ok, so you see how much rent each size store costs. Now, as you may or may not
know, the store is free to expand, so all you have to pay is rent. Each size of
the store can hold up to 400 plushies, so the amount each size can hold is as
below.
Size 1: 400 plushies
Size 2: 800 plushies
Size 3: 1200 plushies
Size 4: 1600 plushies
Size 5: 2000 plushies
Size 6: 2400 plushies
Size 7: 2800 plushies
Size 8: 3200 plushies
Size 9: Unlimited plushies
You may have noticed size 9 says unlimited plushies, and yes, its true! A size
9 store can hold as many plushies as you desire! Ok, so now that you know all
about the basics of the game, you're ready to move on!
+-----------------------------+
Guide 1: A Beginners' Guide
+-----------------------------+
As you read above, guide 1 is a short guide that will get you a bronze trophy,
and the 25,000 neopoint prize. Guide 1 is short and simple. Ok, first things
first, go to Plushie Tycoon by clicking the link at the top of this page and
click create store. Yay! You know have a store. Ok, look at your CoH (Cash on
Hand). It says 50,000 neopoints, right? Ok, set your time zone as you wish now.
Ok, now dont pay rent on anything yet. Every day, come back and check the
prices of raw goods. You will be making 4-Roll accessory plushies. You may
choose any combination of 7 of the below plushies.
Kougra, Yurble, Zafara, Elephante, and Draik
(For example, you may choose 5 Kougras, 1 Draik, and 1 Zafara, or 1 Kougra, 2
Yurbles, 1 Zafara, 1 Elephante, and 2 Draiks) Ok, choose 7 and write down that
combination on a piece of paper. For those 7 jobs, you will need 7 units of
stuffing, 7 units of gem accessories, 7 units of packing, and 28 rolls of
cloth. Ok, check back to the raw goods prices everyday. Remember, dont pay any
rents until I say to. When raw goods are cheap, you should buy 28 rolls of red
cloth, 7 units of neocotton stuffing, 7 units of gem accessories, and 7 units
of velvet bags. Cheap prices are as follows.
Red Cloth: 450 neopoints or lower
Neocotton Stuffing: 400 neopoints or lower
Gem Accessories: 1,600 neopoints or lower
Velvet Packing: 725 neopoints or lower.
If you dont want to wait, prices of 50 to 100 neopoints more will do fine. Once
you buy all your materials, wait until 6 days before the month ends. (Example,
if the month has 31 days, wait until the 25th day. If it has 30, wait until the
24th. In February, wait until the 22nd or the 23rd on a leap year.) 6 days
before the month ends, pay rent on everything. Expand your store to at least
size 2 if you wish, because you wont have to pay anymore rents. Now, put the 6
of the 7 jobs you purchased materials for into the factory. When you put in the
3rd and 5th jobs, it will tell you that you need to expand your factory. Do it
both times.
Ok, now that you have 6 jobs in your factory, you need to hire some workers.
I'd suggest hiring 250 trainees and 25 managers. Now, if you do the math, this
will cost 5550 neopoints an hour, but it's definitely worth it, since in one
hour they will probably finish at least 4 of the jobs if they don't finish them
all. Now, after the first hour when those jobs are finished, if they aren't all
finished fire most of the workers, but leave about 50 workers and 5 managers
to finish the remaining jobs. Then, put that seventh batch of plushies you
purchased materials for into the factory. Next, go to your warehouse. You
should see the finished jobs ready to be shipped. Ship those jobs, then go to
your store. Using the remaining money, purchase advertisements and/or upgrades
until you have about 10,000 neopoints left. After that, when your workers
finish the remaining jobs in the factory, ship them to your store, then they
will sell. Congratulations! You should've made over 50,000 neopoints. Now just
wait until the end of the month and get that avatar and bronze trophy!
+----------------------------+
Guide 2: An Expert's Guide
+----------------------------+
-=-=-=-
Part 1
-=-=-=-
*Note: This guide only works about 85% of the time.* Ok, so if you already have
that bronze or silver trophy, you want the gold, right? Was the beginner's
guide too easy for you? Well then check out guide 2! Guide 2 sill not always
work out and you may end up with only a silver trophy.
Ok, now let's get started. First go to plushie tycoon here, create an account,
and set your time zone. You don't want to go broke as soon as you start the
game, so first, buy enough green cloth to make 5-7 jobs of plushies that take
3-4 rolls each with gems depending on how much they cost. Find a list of how
many rolls each plushie takes to make on TampTree's petpage, by m_evard. Then
buy neocotton stuffing for each job, rare gems, and paper bags. If you spent
your money well, you should have at least 25-30,000 neopoints left. After
purchasing everything, go to your factory. If you bought enough materials for
7 jobs of plushies, only put in 6. If you only bought enough for 5 or 6, put
them all in. If you bought 7, you'll take care of the 7th job later. After
putting on all 6 jobs, you need to hire workers. You should hire 1 manager for
every 10 workers if you want to be efficient. Right now, you should hire 250
workers and 25 managers. You can hire a mix of workers, except probably
dropouts, but I usually just hire 250 trainees and 25 managers. Working at 5550
neopoints an hour, they may be kinda expensive right now, but they will get at
least 4 of the jobs done and get a good start on the rest. After the first
update, when the workers finish some of the jobs, you can put that 7th job in
if you bought materials for it. Fire your workers, except leave as many as you
think you need to finish off the rest of the jobs. Whenever any jobs go to the
warehouse, check the warehouse so they can start loading right away. If you
want to load them faster, you can probably expand your warehouse to level 2
right now, but I wouldn't expand anymore right now. After those jobs start
loading you can go to your store. Using the money you have, purchase some ads
and upgrades. Make sure you don't go below 12-13,000 neopoints though. Now
comes the boring part when you have to wait for your plushies to load. When you'
re plushies are finished loading, ship them to your store. This is the other
boring part, waiting for your plushies to sell. When the other jobs are
finished, fire all your workers for now. If you bought enough upgrades and ads,
your plushies should sell out in a day. If you need to ever need to expand your
shop to fit all the plushies, you can expand. After all those plushies are sold,
you should've made your first small profit. I have been able to make 71,000
just by the end of day one like this.
The next step in becoming a master is expanding. Using the money you've earned,
you must purchase materials to make more plushies.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Part 2: Building Bigger
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
After you've made your first profit, you'll need to build bigger. Using the
money you've made, purchase enough materials for more jobs, maybe 9 or 10 this
time. This time, you'll want to improve, maybe use red or blue cloth, and
velvet bags or cardboard boxes. If you need to expand your factory, still don't
do it yet. Put in 6 jobs, and when those are completed, put the rest in. If you
have enough extra money left over when all the plushies have been made, you can
expand your warehouse to maybe level 3 or 4 so the plushies load faster. Every
time you expand the warehouse it takes about half an hour less. For more exact
times, look at NoDogKnow's petpage, written by roweslab. If you did a good job
spending, you should have at least 35-40,000 neopoints left after shipping your
plushies to the store. If you'd like, you can purchase a few more ads and
upgrades, but try not to spend more than 5-10,000 neopoints, or you may not
make any profit at all. Once the plushies have been shipped off to the store,
you have 2 choices. You can wait for them to sell out, or using the money you
have left, you can purchase materials and start another batch of plushies right
away. If you start more right away, you should make sure you always keep at
least 10,000 neopoints just incase. Once your store sells out, if you didn't
start any more plushies yet, you should have at least 90-100,000 neopoints, or
70,000 neopoints if you already started more jobs. Now when you need to expand
your factory, it should be okay. Once you start putting in 10 jobs at a time
though, you'll need to hire more workers, like 500-1000 workers depending on
what type you hire.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Part 3: Even Bigger!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
To build an even bigger plushie empire, you have to be good at financial
planning. To go bigger, just repeat section 2 over and over again, only every
time, make more plushies, make your warehouse bigger, expand your store, buy
more ads and upgrades, and hire more workers.
Tips:
1. Always make jobs of 100 plushies. They will make money the fastest.
2. Always keep at least 5-10,000 neopoints on hand. You never know when an
emergency might come up.
3. Never hire dropouts, they don't do any work!
4. Try to hire mostly trainees. I find them to be the most efficient for a fair
amount of my money.
5. One important thing to know is that you should never hire more than 250
workers until you start making jobs of more than 100 plushies at a time.
When you have more jobs of plushies in the factory, the workers are more
efficient, so 250 workers/25 managers works just as well for 18 jobs of 100
plushies.
6. Have fun!
7. Remember, you can never have too many green grundos with neopian times and
paper bags!
8. Don't listen to tip #7. I lied.
