The Realm

Review by Gerad

"RPG... Online... Compatible with nearly every computer out there.. Cheap cost.. It all spells success!"

Games have come a long way... From the 8-bit Mario games to the evolution of the GameBoy, and later on, the fusion of games and today's technology. In 1995, Sierra released a game called The Realm. Later on, they passed it on to Codemasters. Today, the game is still around, and I must say, it's one of the best games of all time.

Take $50. Go to www.realmserver.com right now, and buy The Realm. You'll be charged $50 a year, but that shouldn't be a problem. If you're having trouble earning $50 a year, the problem is you, my friend.

The Story
Duach, the evil god must kill Elphames, the Goddess of good to take over the Realm. To prepare for war against Duach, you must fight the various monsters scattered about outside of towns.

The Game Play
This game has it all! Action, adventure, strategy, all nicely woven together to create the perfect online gaming experience.

Literally hundreds of weapons of armor, from wristbands to shields and cowls to swords, it's all there! You'll find so many items throughout the game, you'll wonder how they were all thought up!

Don't like the weapons you find? Make your own! You can make your own weapons via smithing, and you can use them.

Spells are no weakness to the game either, with around a hundred spells for you to use for your leisure.

You can interact and trade with the other players without any problem at all, for the system is all nicely done, making life simple.. Just watch out for those scammers!

There's never a dull moment on the Realm. You'll only catch about 800 users on the game on weeknights, which is a perfect amount! You'll meet new friends and you'll often finding yourself crossing other friend's paths.

The Controls
You won't find yourself in a pickle with the controls either. You use the mouse to simply move around and perform whatever tasks you..well.. like to perform.

The Sound
The original music programmed with the game was stored in .mid format and sound effects are in .wav format, so you'll have the ability to completely customize your own soundtrack with your own MIDIs and WAVs. What more could you ask for!

Overall
-You will be pleasantly pleased with The Realm, and even if you aren't, you can always cancel your account.

-Everything from your character's clothing, race, gender, type, etc. can be customized, as well as the soundtrack.

-1000 levels to keep you leveling for a long time, and special reward's to show others you're on the level you say you are when you get to key levels.

-Unique and rare items and spells for you to find and collect, making the game that much more addicting!
