"Dont complain, it's free after all"

Alright, I will be the first to admit that neopets may not seem like an adult game. In ways, yes, that is true but, in other ways that is false. You see in a world where violence and drugs Seem to be lurking around every corner. neopets teaches kids ( and sometimes adults) many important life lessons and, most of them you will read here. My favorite one is the following, cheaters NEVER win.

1. This can be expressed in many ways, in real life, it may mean breaking the law, eventually you will get caught, just the same as in neopets, if you BREAK the rules, THEN and only THEN will your account be frozen PERIOD. If you did NOT do anything wrong, your account will not get frozen, that is simple enough.

The second lesson that neopets teaches everyone is a virtue, and that is patience. The neopets team ( known as TNT) announces a project, and NEVER seems to get it done on time, Many of the users get upset about this and complain. Complaining because they have absolutely NO idea how much work TNT has to put into these projects, Making and maintaining a website of neopets standards is extremely hard, and the only way you can know the frustration is by actually making a website yourself.

The final lesson is that NOTHING in life comes free, everything costs money. In Neopets if you beg for money, items, or anything good, it most likely will not be just handed to you. If you want something you must earn it, ALL by yourself. Aside from that fact, in real life if you want a pet it costs money, and sadly not all of us have that, so having a virtual pet is a great option and hey! you don't have to clean up after him/her either!
Neopets does many other lessons that I will not list, but aside from these lessons there is an actual plus to the game, strategy, and games.

Graphics/sound- 4/10- Neopets is a free site, Get it? FREE. Therefore you will not get GREAT Graphics in any of the games. As for sound, some games have OK sound, some other ones have horrible sound, but it does not really matter anyway, why listen to game music when you can listen to alternative rock on Internet radio?

Gameplay 10/10- Alright, if you have a complaint about this, you obviously have no sense in games, Neopets has EVERY type of game someone could be looking for, MANY are even based on games that we already know ( Frumball is based on breakout and swarm is based on space invaders) In the end there is something for everybody. Hey, if you're a kid you might even learn something! a game on neopets called maths nightmare teaches someone how to do basic math, whereas another game called plushie tycoon, teaches someone how to run their own store, which never is or will be an easy task. Aside from games, the main object is to make money, from that point on you can do many things, one is increase your pets abilities, and make him strong enough to fight in the battledome, another option is buy stamps for a stamp collection, or buy a paintbrush to paint your pet, Its your choice, and it all revolves around one thing MONEY. Money can be made from games, restocking ( buying an item from an official or user shop and repricing it for a higher price at your shop) or even STOCKS. Aside from this, every now and then neopets usually has a plot for you and your pet to participate in, this may mean fighting off enemies in the battledome to save all of neopia from being conquered!

Replay ability 10/10- Yes, some of you may say this is addictive, but you know inside you can quit anytime, Neopets does one thing that almost ALL other sites fail to do, they update CONSISTENTLY every day, except for the weekends ( SOMETIMES that) Neopets is a great site, for kids and adults and in my opinion as long as its there many of their users will come back, again and again No matter what, don't complain, it is a free site after all.
