"The greatest game of all time."

This is not the best version of Doom but the 32X is my first experience with this game so Im rating this version and you cant Go wrong picking up the PC version, PSone Version or Saturn Version (its pretty good and if you get motion Sickness from FPS games you might like that version cause it plays at a nice frame rate, not to fast but very playable.) My review is based on 1995 Standards and what it was like at the time.

Graphics-10- I got the 32X in 1995 when it was discounted at 100$ becuase it was the only system I could afford with my birthday money. I saw this game at BLock Buster and rented it because I had a feeling It would be good. When I started it up It rocked. I never seen anything like this before demons, zombies shot guns, Im in hell literally. Ill never forget it. Its the first game I ever played where you walk around paranoid. Grabing the shot gun for the first time was the first time I felt like a tough guy in a game.

Sound 10- Boom Click Click, Baron Shrieks, secret Doors opening. Awesome. Like I stated first game to make you paranoid. Especially when you open a door and you hear a pack coming after you then turning around and seeing them.

Replay-10- At the time it was a unique experience and the 32X version in my oppinion is the easiest one to pop in for a quick play since you can got to any of the 15 levels withought a code.

Game play-10- Moved at a nice frame rate every thing responded perfectly with a 6 button controller. Awesome how this game featured Different monsters at different strenth levels. Humans-piece of cake, shot gun guys-ouch take him out fast,Imps-hmmm pretty tough, Pink Demons-these guys just took 2 solid shot guns to the face and there still after me, Cacodemons-ok this guy just took 40 bullets and now Im out of ammo. Barons from hell ok I just wasted a boat load of bullets and theres still one more left Im out of ammo damn he just took 60% of my power with 1 hit better run.

Doom in my opinion will always be the greatest game of all time. Withought it games like Halo and Quake would not be around. Think back at playing DOOM for the first time. YOu cant Deny all the fond Memories.
