"A great old fighting game"

Way of the Warrior is a great (and rather old by now) fighting game for the 3DO. At first if you get this game (or rent it) you will probably say, ''Wow, this is cheesy.'' But then you'll play it a little bit more and get to like it.

Graphics --- 6/10

Pretty good for a 3DO game, however the frame rate in Way of the Warrior is downright HORRIBLE. The advantage of having not a lot of frames per move is that the characters have a lot more moves each, but it really can't be forgiven. The graphics drag this game down a lot.

Music --- 10/10

This game has a great soundtrack done by White Zombie. The result is great music throughout all the menus and arenas. A strong point of the game.

Sound Effects --- 4/10

Ok, the *Thuds* and *Whumps* are ok, but the voices are just downright impossible to take seriously... once you hear Konotori's voice you'll start laughing... guarenteed.

Gameplay --- 9/10

The game runs very smoothly (if you don't count the frames problem) and has no major problems.

Replay Value --- 8/10

You'll Want to play this game over and over again to get the multiple endings.

Control --- 10/10

Some people may argue with me over this, but I think the control is excellent in Way for a game of it's type. It has the standard Medium Kick, Strong Kick, etc... however for special moves, taunts, and the rest, the control is above average.

Overall Way of the Warrior is a great game, and since hardly any places still rent 3DO games, I suggest buying it if the price is right.
