Review by Zylo the wolf

"All the dragons fear the mighty square."

Adventure is one of the most important games of all time that never has gotten any kind of attention. The game was released when there only type of games only was either Pong clones or Space Invader clones. Adventure is a game where you have to explore a world, and find items to be able to get further. This game is often given credit for being a very important game for games like Ultima, Dragon Quest and Legend of Zelda. You can almost say that this game is a very early version of the first Legend of Zelda.

In this game, you take the role as a great hero who can kill every dragon in the world by just bumping into them if he's equipped with a sword. You might expect this hero to look like one of Hollywood's greatest action heroes, but since this game was released in 1980, the hero is a square. Personally I would have prefer if the hero was shaped like a triangle, but that's just me. There are also three different dragons in this game, who actually looks like dragons.

You start with no equipment at all, so you better find a sword quick so you can kill the dangerous dragons that can swallow you if you are unlucky. To get any further in this game you have to find two keys with different colours that opens two castles with the same colour as the key. To pick an item up, you simply have to touch the item, but you can only hold one item at the same time, so you have to drop the item you are carrying to pick up another item. When you have found the holy grail you have to bring it to the castle you began your journey and then you have finished the game.

Adventure is more of a important piece in the gaming history than an actual fun game to play today. I'm sure those who played it when it was first released, but the game only takes about 3 minutes to finish and then you are done with it. You can always try to find the very first easter egg in a game if you won't to, but otherwise the game doesn't offer much after you have beat it once on every difficulty. But if this game haven't been made, I wonder how the Legend of Zelda games would be like. Thank you Warren Robinett for making this game.
