The Atari 2600 was made in the late 1970's. Soon after, Atari began producing some of the greatest games ever made! Sky Skipper is one of those memorable games for the Atari 2600.

Game Play 10/10
You are flying your little plane and your objective is to use the joystick to pilot over the green monster, press the button to drop a brick, and then pick up all the momentarily freed animals. After you collect all the animals in one level, you go to the next. Very nice, and very easy... until you get higher up in the levels!

Story 10/10
You are piloting your little plane and you have to rescue the little animals, and... well, here's the REAL story:

Your little animal pals have been captured by the evil green aliens. Your job is to go in there, and get your comrade animals out! You have to be careful not to crash into anything, and definitely don't run out of fuel!

So, as you can see, there is a story behind this game. Not known to most people is the fact that there are stories for a great deal of these games. You can find these on the game boxes, instruction manuals, or catalogs. They are not really in the game, but they give you an idea of what is going on, why you are doing something, and what you have to do!

Audio/Video 10/10
Crisp clear sound. Anywhere from the drop of the brick, to the sound of beating a level. The graphics are clear and defined. The animals, the aliens, and especially the background colors! Atari seems to keep up its high quality standards of perfection!

Replay YES
Just like all Atari games, Sky Skipper was made for replaying. True to its Atari fashion, you will want to play Sky Skipper over and over and over again!

To Buy YES
Sky Skipper costs about $1-$2. You can find it in most electronics and game stores that sell old stuff. I've recently noticed some new stores have big tubs that have Atari games. Make sure you look at the version number (2600, 5200, 7800) to see if it is right for your system. Also check the game cartridge. If you can, try to find a copy with the labels in tact, no holes punched through it. Make sure that when you shake it, you don't hear something shaking inside. Also make sure it is not dirty.

If you want a fast paced, action packed game, then this game is for you. This game provides hours of fun and excitement for any age! No matter what you like in terms of action, shoot them up, role playing, or sports - you will definitely like this game!
