"A crashing good time!"
If you don't know what Dodge 'Em is, then you haven't had a crashing good time!
Dodge 'Em is a classic game where you drive around a maze, driving over all the markers and shifting lanes. However, a crash car is coming after you. If you collide, you must start over. Three collisions and it's over.
So you won, huh? OK, now it gets smarter. Again? Now there are two cars, both mirror each other's movements.
Graphics: 5/10
They aren't saying much 2600-wise. The cars look like insects, and the maze
could easily be called a square race course with several lanes. Even the crashes are too blase.
Sounds: 7/10
The sound of your car clearing dots is a little repetitive, but your engine hums as it goes along the track, and roars as you step on the gas! The crashes aren't anything spectacular (I heard better in Pole Position!) but they could have been worse!
Control: 4/10
You shift lanes at openings. Unfortunately, the controls can be a bit unforgiving when you want to turn. Another thing is the button shifts into high gear, which can be annoying if done accidentally. May result in a crash!
Replay: 8/10
While there's no way to play head-to-head against another person, you can play
solo, or compete with a friend for the highest score.
Overall: 9/10
Either one or two people will definitely have a 'crashing good time' with this game!
