"The Greatest Game Of All Time !"
When I think of great video games, only one comes to mind : Kool-Aid Man. This epic game will be remembered by everyone as the most outstanding game in the universe. Or so I like to think. This awesome game came out for the ancient Atari 2600 many, many, many years ago, and it still beats out all the video games of the present day, in my humble opinion anyway. Allow me to tell you why this game is so great. Read on...
Gameplay 10/10!!!: What's not too love about the superbulous gameplay? Kool-Aid Man's control is second to none, and might remain that way forever. The whole object of the game is to not let the evil alien Thirsties drain your pool of water. When all of the H2O is gone, well, you LOSE. Thankfully, you can get super-duper power-ups that will turn you into a powerful ULTRA KOOL-AID MAN! And let's not forget the challenge of the game. Kool-Aid Man can be quite easy at first, but it soon becomes apparent that this game was designed for video game MASTERS only. It's that hard. But thankfully, it's not hard enough to the point where you become so frustrated that you take your copy of Kool-Aid Man, light it on fire, and chuck it into a nuclear reactor. That's what I love about Kool-Aid Man.
Story 10/10: Another thing that makes the game Kool-Aid Man so great is its fantastic story! The story is an epic tale of action, romance, tragedy, and the sugary goodness of Kool-Aid! Here is how the grand, unforgettable chronicle goes. One day, our hero, Kool-Aid Man, was reclining in his swimming pool, when a bunch of evil, alien demons called the Thirsties invaded. Kool-Aid Man watched in absolute horror, as the Thirsties began to drain his precious swimming pool of its water. Well, that got Kool-Aid Man a little upset, so he dashed inside his house and grabbed a couple of packets of Kool-Aid. With his mighty strength, Kool-Aid Man tore open one of the packets, and poured its contents into a jar of water! Then, using his powerful arm, he grabbed a stirring spoon, and started stirring the jar of water. After an hour or two of stirring, Kool-Aid Man had finally made Kool-Aid! He rushed outside, and gave the Thirsties the Kool-Aid. After drinking the Kool-Aid, the Thirsties left the pool of Kool-Aid Man, never to return until Kool-Aid Man 2: The Search for More Sugar, which sadly, will never come out, as it is a figment of my imagination. I may have embellished a bit on the story, but that’s pretty much it right there.
Graphics 10/10: The graphics of Kool-Aid Man truly set the standards for modern video games. These graphics even put X-Box to shame! Kool-Aid Man looks better than he does on T.V., and the artwork done on the Thirsties is simply astounding! O.K. I lied. These are simple Atari graphics with nothing special about them whatsoever. Kool-Aid Man may not look exactly like he does on T.V., but thankfully the graphics are good enough for me to make out that huge happy smile on his face! As disturbing as that may sound, it’s true. The Thirsties may look like flying bombs, but that's O.K.
Sound 10/10: The sound is so good, that it literally moves me to tears every time I play Kool-Aid Man. That's how good it is...all right, I lied again. This game's sound effects are basically a random collection of beeps. But then, most games on the Atari 2600 have similar sound effects.
Playtime/Replayability 10/10: Trust me, you will NEVER get tired of playing this game. After you beat it once, you will keep on wanting to play it for the rest of your life.If your teacher asks you why you didn't do any of your homework last night, and you say,''Oh, I was playing Kool-Aid Man until dawn'', she will understand. I didn't lie that time.
Buy or Rent? BUY! BUY! BUY! BUY! BUY! YOU WOULD BE A FOOL NOT TO!
Now you see why Kool-Aid Man is the greatest game ever.
