"Yes it is that bad"

For some odd reason, Philips sent me this game for free. I said to myself ''Hm, free game'' opened the package, popped the disc into my CD-I and started playing. I remember hearing a lot of good comments about this game, but after I started playing for a little bit, I was starting to ask myself ''what are they on?''

Graphics - 4
It's got reasonably good graphics. They remind me a lot of the Saturn's (and we all know how bad the Saturn's graphics can get). It was like playing a movie full-screen that was designed with 320 X 240 resolution on a 1024 X 768 monitor. That's pretty bad. And that's just the FMV. The game itself looks extremely flaky by today's standards. It looks like that background were rendered and the character inserted at a later date.

Sound - 5
This is ANNOYING. Remember in the movie Dumb and Dumber, when Jim Carrey imitates that most annoying sound in the world? Well, he obviously never played this game. The sound at the title screen makes dogs hide they're heads, it makes babies cry, it makes Gilbert Gottfried's voice sound pleasant. And the in game sound ain't that much better. It just isn't done too well. I can't explain it, you'll just have to hear it for yourself, if you want to that is.

Control - 6
This would definitely be a lot better with a light gun. Which, I'm pretty sure the CD-I doesn't have. Instead, you got to use the controller. This game runs like other puzzle games you might've played like Myst or Riven, you know the type I'm talking about. But it's also a shooter at the same time.

Replay - 1
The only replay to this game is two years down the line you dust this game off, pop it in saying to yourself ''it really wasn't that bad was it?'' Then, after playing for five minutes you shut off the system, pull out the CD and say to yourself ''yep'' and set this game back down for another two years. I'm sorry to anyone that actually likes this game, I do not in case you couldn't have guessed.

Overall - 2
I'd rather be watching a Richard Simmons 24 hour ''Sweatin' to the Oldies'' marathon then this game. OK, I don't hate this game that much, but it is pretty bad. If you see this game in stores, avoid this game like that plague, take the long way around, and for humanities sake, if you see anyone actually thinking of getting this game smack them on the back of the head, for their sake.
