"A look at a revolutionary game"

Donkey Kong, one of the first truly original game. About a decade ago, I got the Colecovision. It had some awesome games. My favorite being Donkey Kong. In this game you play Jumpman, the original Mario, trying to rescue The Princess, the original Princess Toadstool, from the evil Donkey Kong. IMO opinion, DK is a parody of the old King Kong movie (Rescue a damsel in distress from a giant ape on the top of a building), which is cool because I loved that movie. In the first level, he throws barrels at you to try and stop you from climbing to the top of the rubble and metal walkways. The next few levels are a little harder, and if you make one mistake, you can fall to your death. Their are a countless number of levels, and I have never beaten this game. It is a true challenge, even for master gamers.

Gameplay - 10, This game is both incredibly difficult, and incredibly fun. All you do is walkup a walkway to rescue The Princess, yet it never seems to get old for me. I especially love getting the hammer item, and plowing through a level.

Story - 3, The only reason this game gets a low rating in this is because it has close to no story line. All you do is go through a level to reach a goal (The Princess) and rescue her from Donkey Kong.

Audio/Video - 8, This game is very old, but I still love the bright colors of Jumpman's suit, and Donkey King's Brown Fur, the flaming drum in the first level. The music is mostly Beeps and Bumps. It is great for nostalgia. Bah Bum Bum Bum Bum, Bah Bum Bum Bum Bum... It never seems to get old.

Replayability - 9, Like I said, I have gone all the way through this game, but it is a great challenge, and you may want to replay is a few times because these levels are challenging and very, very, very fun.

In conclusion, I recommend you try to find an old Colecovision like I did, whether it's in a garage, or at a flea market, and PLAY THIS GAME! It sure is better then most of the garbage that has come out this year. Even after all the games I have seen in the past few years, this game still has a place in my heart. I simply love it.
