1. Introduction
Welcome to my Sonic Adventure FAQ! This is to help you on a quest of a
certain pink hedgehog, Rosy the Rascal, better known as Amy Rose. Always
bright and cheerful, Amy is the self-appointed girlfriend of Sonic. In
other words, Amy would LOVE it if Sonic was her boyfriend in reality,
but Sonic wouldn't like that and feels uncomfortable if he's around Amy
too long. Possessing a strong competitive streak, she is second to none
when in control of her Piko Pkio Hammer (the mallet she used in Sonic
Championship). With many fond memories of her Sonic-chasing days, she's
thrilled when their 2 worlds collide again with the sudden appearance
of the Egg Carrier one fine day...

2. Legal Stuff
Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, and all related characters are trademarks
of SEGA. You know the routine, and if not, I've just mentioned it. I got
a lot of the info from most of the instruction manual, the unofficial
Dreamcast magazine, and some other FAQs of the game. Now I said the
important stuff, let's move on.

3. Info on Amy's Quest
The object of each of Amy's Action Stages is to protect the bird while
making a get-away from ZERO. If necessary, use drum cans or other such
shelter to hide. I know she's not as fast as Sonic and has the shortest
quest, but to me, WHO CARES? All right, all right. A lot of you do, but
it doesn't bother me. Here's something you may not notice: except for
Final Egg, Amy can go to more than one area in an Action Stage, and that's
no baloney if you think I'm kidding!

4. Moves
a. Piko Piko Hammer Attack
Press the attack button while walking or standing still to have Amy
attack and destroy enemies with her Hammer. Keep in mind that even
though she can attack and temporarily overturn ZERO, he can't be destroyed
(that is, until the boss fight). Furthermore, he can only be overturned
a limted number of times. If you overdo it, ZERO will be invincible and
you'll be in trouble.

b. Hammer Jump
When Amy is at full speed (you'll notice she'll be carrying her Hammer
when this happens), press the attack button and Amy will catapult herself
high in the air. This jump can come in handy with places too high for
her to reach with her normal jump. Speaking of her normal jump, the
best way to do this is jump normally and press foward on the Analog
Thumb Pad. Amy will be running at full speed.

c. Jump Attack
Press the attack button in mid-air and Amy can attack, and that's about
it.

d. Spin Hammer Attack
After Amy gets the Warrior Feather, she can do the Spin Hammer Attack.
Press and hold the attack button and move the Analog Thumb Pad in a circle.
Amy will spin while holding her Hammer. When done, let go of the attack
button. If Amy spins in one place for too long, she'll become dizzy. When
this happens, she won't be able to walk straight and won't be able to
jump for a while. I don't wanna sound cruel, but I kinda like it when
she gets dizzy! Try it at least once and you'll like it as much as I
did (No offense to you Amy fans).

5. Upgrade Items
a. Warrior Feather
Gives Amy the ability to do the Spin Hammer Attack. You'll get this
after beating Hedgehog Hammer the first time.

b. Long Hammer
Gives Amy's attacks wider ranges. You'll get this the second time you
beat Hedgehog Hammer.

6. Amy's Story
Amy is strolling the streets of Station Square one sunny afternoon,
bored and wishing that Sonic would happen back into her life. When a
small, helpless bird falls at her feet, she is, of course, concerned.
(Who wouldn't?) And when one of Robotnik's vile mechanizations--the
relentless robot ZERO--drops from the sky in hot pursuit, she's pretty
much terrified. It seems the bird has escaped from Robotnik's Egg Carrier.
ZERO has come to get the bird back. Now, Amy must save the poor defenseless
bird from becoming mincemeat by ZERO. Like Amy would say, "It's my turn
now!"

7. Amy's Quest
We see Amy walking through Station Square (just in case you haven't
read the story) with a shopping bag. Then she stops and talks about her
life and how much she missed hanging out with her #1 hero, Sonic. Next,
the Egg Carrier flies over Station Square. Amy wonders if it's Eggman
(and you don't know how right you are, Amy). The next minute, she's
smacked upside the head by a bird (no kidding!) and it looks kind of
hurt. Then guess who falls from the Egg Carrier after that? ZERO, duh!
The bad bot chases Amy and she hides in the Burger Shop. After that,
Amy will have a chit-chat with the bird.

Go to the casino area. Amy is walking along the streets until she sees
a certain blue hunk-of-a-hedgehog she likes so much. Amy runs after
Sonic, and he chickens out a bit (I'm serious. He did chicken out). Amy
gets a bit annoyed by this and introduces the bird to Sonic. Sonic will
refuse to be the bird's bodyguard and Amy says that she's "gonna tag
along anyway". Then, he runs off and Amy tries to follow.

Next, head to the Twinkle Park entrance. Amy spots Sonic and complains
("Wait up, Sonic! Not fair! I can't run as fast as you!"). Then, ZERO
appears again and Sonic tells Amy not to panic. Then, Amy will talk
about the "cute couples" special at Twinkle Park. Amy runs off, and
Sonic chases after her. This begins Twinkle Park, Amy's first action
stage...

a. Twinkle Park
You'll start at Pleasure Castle. All you need to do is press 3 buttons
to open the door to the mirror rooms. In the mirror rooms, there is this
part with false floors. Luckily, you can tell which floors are the fake
ones by looking at the mirrors. The holes mean that the floor is fake. After
you get out of the mirror rooms, continue like normal. Grab the balloon, and
you're finished.

After that get-away from ZERO, Amy thinks Sonic got lost. But then,
ZERO ALERT! Amy tries to make another get-away, but ZERO grabs her...not
good. ZERO takes her to the train station. Now, the next part, I have good
news and bad news. First, the good. Amy sees Sonic and calls for help.
The bad news after doing all that "Help! Sonic!" stuff, she faints. Not
a pretty picture, is it?

The next scene, we see Amy and the bird as Egg Carrier prisoners. Then,
guess who enters and demands that Amy gives him the bird? Yep, E-102
a.k.a. Gamma himself. Don't worry, Amy didn't surrender her feathery
friend. Then, she says those famous words that make E-102 have a total
system failure: "Won't you help us, please?". The bird flies up to
E-102 and the bad bot is more confused than I was when I played his
quest the first time. Then, Gamma boy decides to give Rosy the Racal
her freedom back.

Now, after a trip through "I'm free!" city, head toward the door
straight ahead of you. There, Robotnik (or Eggman, whatever you want
to call the guy) and says, "Let's see if you can clear this awesome
game." For info on the game, go to the very last section of the FAQ.

If you beat Robotnik's high score, he'll get mad, and Tikal has a
little present to congratulate Amy: the Warrior Feather! Along with
this, you can do the Spin Hammer Attack! For info on this, see section
4D.

Now, leave the room. You'll be in an area with 3 doors. Hammer the
switch for the middle door to open up stage number 2 for Amy: Hot Shelter.

b. Hot Shelter
You'll start the stage by riding an elevator. After that, except with
turning the handles to open doors, continue like normal. Halfway through
the first area (after pressing the emergency drainage switch), turn the
door handle left once and right 3 times. After this, you'll have to push
some staircases to most exits. For the second part, you'll reach some
places where you need to put colored blocks in their matching colors.
You'll do this twice, but the second time you do this, the blue block
will be missing. After putting the first 3 blocks in their holes, go to
the spring and jump on the beam with Rings on it. Carry the blue block
and bring it down. Then, go through the doors, grab the balloon,
yada-yada-yada...

After you get through Hot Shelter, Tikal transports Amy to the past. After
Amy tries to figure where she is, turn around and head foward to the
Master Emerald Shrine. After that, Tikal will talk to some Chao. Just
when the Chao was getting comfortable hanging with Tikal, something
(my best guess is Chaos 0) comes out of the water. But before we can
see what it is, you're transported back in the Egg Carrier's pool room.
Amy will try to figure out what happened and wonders if she's dreaming.

Now, get to the outside deck of the Egg Carrier. Eggman will appear. Amy
calls Sonic and Tails for help, but the bad egg snatches the Chaos
Emerald from the bird, sics E-102 on Sonic, and makes his get-away.
Sonic fights E-102 until the bot was badly hurt. Amy is not going to
take this, so she kindly asks Sonic to leave Gamma-boy be because E-102
helped Amy escape. Just after Sonic agrees with Amy, the Egg Carrier
loses altitude. Sonic tells Tails to "take Amy and clear out". Amy will
have a few last words with E-102 and Tails tells her get moving. Tails
carries Amy to Station Square. He walks off, and Amy waves to him. Amy
now wonders what Sonic is doing and finds out 2 things. First, she was
surprised that the bird had a Chaos Emerald with him (you'll figure out
that's the main reason Eggman was after the bird). Second, the bird has
a family!

After Amy has another chit-chat with the bird, you'll be at the Mystic
Ruins. Go on the raft under the train station to return to the Egg
Carrier. Once there, take the yellow elevator above the deck to go
inside the Egg Carrier. Now, go to the third door next to the Hot Shelter
entrance to play Hedgehog Hammer again. Beat your last high score to
get the Long Hammer. You know you got it when the time thing floating
above the game says, "You got the Long Hammer".

After that, take the raft back to Mystic Ruins and head to the rain
forest via mine cart. Now head to the newly formed tunnel at the north
end of the maze.

After Amy explains her suspiciousness for the tunnel, go inside it. Get
to the puzzle lights area. The puzzle is sort hard to explain, but if
all the lights are yellow, feel free to go through the door to Amy's
grand finale, Final Egg. Before the stage starts, ZERO appears. Amy is
shocked and says, "Not you again!"

c. Final Egg
At some areas, destroy the laser machines. Other than that, continue
while avoiding ZERO. You'll get to a point where you need to choose a
door. You know you've found that right one when you found a savepoint
in it. And you know the routine when you get to the end, but if you
just skipped all the way down here, grab the balloon, and it's seeya
later, ZERO.

After doing the get-away-from-ZERO-while-protecting-the-bird routine, Amy
is convinced that the little feather duster's parents is one the Egg
Carrier and wants to investigate. Then, return to the Egg Carrier. There,
the bird looks for it's parents. A few seconds later, a family reunion
takes place for the bird! But don't get cocky thinking the game's over,
because the bad bot targets the bird and hits it. Well, ZERO just got on
Amy's bad side, and to prove it, Amy gives ZERO a good whack with her
hammer. If you're looking for the boss stragety to get ZERO out of your
hair, skip down to the next section.

After ZERO is in scrap city, Amy sees if her birdy friend is okay. The
bird tries to fly, but falls. Then, after it tries again, he flies off
with his family and Amy is very happy. Then, she says her last words
before her mission is complete: "Just watch me! I'll make that Sonic
respect me! And by that time it's gonna be too late!"

8. ZERO: Boss Stragety
There are two things you need to do: First, hit ZERO toward the electric
fence. Second, hit the button inside his head to do damage when the bad
bot gets an unhealthy shock. Try to lure ZERO toward the outside so
Rosy the Rascal needs just one simple hit to get that piece of scrap
pile on that fence. Don't get overagressive with the hammer, unless you
want ZERO jumping like mad. Don't waste your time trying to hit the
attack. At some points, ZERO will shoot some electrical ropes and start
spinning. Try running the same way the ropes are turning. All ZERO
needs is 3 hits and he's toast.

10. Hedgehog Hammer Mini-Game
All right. To start this game up, get in the middle of the room with
the floating score, and jump up to begin whacking away. If in Adventure
mode, you'll be playing for the Warrior Feather the first time you play
it and the Long Hammer the second time. If in Trial mode, you'll be
playing for the Emblems. My highest score was 4000. Really! Here is the
score list:

Blue Sonic: 100 points
Yellow Sonic: 500 points
Robotnik: -200 points

Well, that's all for this FAQ. If you have any comments or anything at
