Asked on: 11/19 8:05AMI heard that it is possible to play on the tails v. sonic levels multiplayer however I haven't found out how even though I have a 2nd Controller Nothing happens Can you verify if this is true or if there is a way please explain to me how (I don't mind which characters but please list all multiplayer features and how to use them)!

When you're playing a stage as Sonic after finishing the game as him, you can control Tails with a 2nd controller as player 1 controls Sonic. It's not that great, but it's the closest thing to a multiplayer mode in this game.

statusI'm fairly certain that the multiplayer mode is only in the Gamecube version.. sorry :(
Usually only after you've beaten the level...tails will then follow Sonic around it, he can then be controlled with a 2nd controller...it works in both games, but its MORE functional on the dreamcast than the GC *Many things won't work for Tails on GC, such as springs for example*
After you beat a level, Tails will follow Sonic around. A second player can pick up a second controler and control Tails to some extent. Sonic is the character who controls where the camera goes, and Tails must follow at his pace for you to be able to see him. Tails can pick up rings for Sonic and sometimes go to dangerous places and be hit without losing rings, so using him can actually be helpful.
If nobody picks up the second controller, then Tails is just there.
