"This game is terrible. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME."

First off, DO NOT GO BUY THIS GAME. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL HATE IT AS MUCH AS I DO. Okay, that being said, this game is the worst baseball game I've ever seen. I bought it today, and I would have been better off burning my money for heat. YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR FIELDERS. I'M NOT KIDDING. This game is absolutley the worst Dreamcast game ever.

GRAPHICS: 10/10
The graphics in 2k1 are amazing. It's too bad you can't control the beautiful players. I won't dwell on the nice graphics, because it is the only highpoint in the
game.

SOUND: 4/10
The sound is okay. The announcer/crowd sound terrible however.

PRESENTATION: 1/10
What's going on? You can't change anything! You can choose one of three camera angles, take replays on and off, and switch players. That's it. Oh, no wait-you can also quit the game (which is it's nicest feature.) What was Sega thinking? There are four modes of play, but they all run on the same terrible game engine.

GAMEPLAY: 1/10
This is where the game really earns it's one out of ten overall score. Here are the basics: There is no pitching cursor, so you dont no where you're pitching, the batting solely relies on letting the R-trigger go at just the right time, and YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR FIELDERS. Not only do you not have control of them, the drone fielders are terrible. They miss routine plays more than half the time. I'm not kidding.
Okay, I'm going to need another paragraph. The pitching is absolutely terrible. You select your pitch from a small set of lines. (the number of lines is how many pitches your guy has.) None of the lines are labled, so you have to memorize that up is fast, down is sinker, and so on. You can direct your pitch when it's in the air, but you can't really tell where your putting it. The pitching guage is also a problem. Many of the good games create this effect by having the user hold the button down (less time for a slower pitch, longer for a faster pitch) One good thing about this is the pitchers ability to vary their speed without the batter knowing. With the terrible pitching guage, the batter knows the strength of the pitch, because the guage is visable to the batter!
The batting is also horrible. It relies on holding the R-trigger, linig up the batting cursor with the oncoming ball, (not a ball cursor) Then letting go quick when the ball is there. In order to hit the pitch, the game slows down the pitch drasticlly so you can put the bat on it. Randy's Johnson's 100 mile an hour heat looks like other game's slow change ups.
Okay, here's where the game is at it's worst. The fielding. YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER YOUR FIELDERS ON ANY GAME SETTING. The CPU's fielding is terrible. The outfielders miss MOST fly balls. High shots to the outfield drop almost every time. When you do field the ball, there is a long pause untill you can throw the ball. ''Your'' fielder stops after he makes the grab, than makes the throw. This pause is long enough for most players to get an infield hit. On many occasion I've hit a routine ground ball to the shortstop. When the ball was thrown and it reaches first base, it appears that the runner was just out. One final thought YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR FIELDERS!!!!.
