Soul Fighter
Review by wolverinefan
"Decent game"
Story
An evil curse falls upon the kingdom of Gomar when the kings son dies and the queen and the other son give their souls away to bring the dead son back. The king is mad about this and forces the queen and son to leave now the queen and son want revenge, so they make a mist cover the land and turn every one and everything into creatures. Now you must stop the curse. The story is probably the best thing about this game. I give story a 10/10
Controls
The control in this game is simple if you read the instruction book. Some of the buttons don't do what the instruction book say like it says the A button blocks but it doesn't work very well. fighting is easy to do but sometimes combos continue for a while and ou can't stop them and some other times your character just won't turn around. I give control a 5/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
There is only 1 voice in this whole game and I think it sounds a lot like Sean Connery. None of the playable characters have voice and I wish they did cause I don't think these characters went on this adventure without saying one word to each other. There isn't many sound effects either, stepping in water makes no splashing sounds which makes no sense. The music gets annoying after a while cause its the same 2 songs during the whole game, the normal walking around music and the battle music. I wish that each character had a voice actor and I wish the developers spent more time on sound effects and music. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 1/10
Game Play
Game play is almost the same as every other hack and slash game. You just run around the level collecting items and killing every monster. You HAVE to kill every monster which makes the get old fast. There are 2 modes to play in arcade and adventure. Arcade mode has a timer and you get 5 continues. Adventure mode doesn't have a timer and doesn't have any continues. This game is VERY hard. I give game play a 5/10
Replay Value
This game is fun for a while but it gets boring after a couple stages and there isn't really any replay value. This is a good game to rent but don't buy it. I give replay value a 0/10
Final Score
I give Soul Fighter a 7/10
