The House of the Dead 2

"Great game, bad voice acting"
Graphics - 10
Gotta admit, breathtaking graphics. SEGA has managed to capture the true arcade look and feel of the game. Zombies are well detailed, or as detailed as you'd want them to be. This game also features some pretty realistic blood in your choice of two colors, red or green (red must be unlocked). There may be a no blood option, I haven't really even tried to find out, and I need my blood.
Sound - 8
Great sound effects and eerie background music make this a true don't-let-your-little-8-year-old-brother-play-this-in-the-dark king of game. The one bad thing about the sound is, horrible, horrible voice acting. Save a guy and its ''thank you for rescuing me.'' If someone saved my life from bloodthirsty zombies, I'd like to think I'd have more to say then ''thank you for rescuing me.'' But that's just me.
Characters - 7
You got one and boy is he some character. Got the brains of a pile of bricks and talks like William Shatner (no offence to the bricks). Get a second player involved, and he gets the same guy with a different name and a stone face. Get a third player involved and...oh wait...this game only has two players. You get two other partners (big help they are). I love the part where your in the boat, all of a sudden zombies start popped up everywhere. You shoot maybe five of them and then your other partners turn around and ask, ''Are you all right?'' Well, yeah, except for the fact that my heart is about to jump out of my chest, other then that I'm hunky dory. Some people.
Control (with game pad) - 7
Sometimes it's a bit difficult to get that crosshair from one point in the screen to another. And reloading, well I think you tap the right shoulder button once or twice. Can get kind of annoying in times of heavy fire.
Control (with light gun) - 10
If you buy this game, you definitely should think of getting at least one light gun. Some light guns have the feature of auto-fire, auto-reload and some have it were you can use both at once. For a really good time, buy two light guns and play the game alone with one light gun in each hand.
Replay - 5
It's a good party game if you want something short and sweet. There are alternative routes in the game. Do something and go this way, don't do it and go this way. At least SEGA made an effort to give this game replay.
Overall - 8
Good game and I think it's definitely one that should be in any Dreamcast owner's collection. I think this game will go down as one of Dreamcast's classics.
