NBA Showtime is the sequel to one of the best basketball games of all time , NBA Jam. It fixes some glitches and problems and improves on the old engine of NBA Jam.

Graphics
The graphics in this game are pretty good. Although some of the stuff doesn't look real , its still good since its not trying to look real. The body models sometime get on my nerves sometimes , like John Stockton has a buff body in this game , but that just don't look right. The courts don't look that different like in other games they just have different logos. The dunks get kinda dull and drab , but there is still enough dunks and other cool stuff to keep you busy.

Control
I'm don't see anything wrong here. Everything is good. Its all-good

Gameplay
The gameplay in NBA Showtime is pretty good , although almost everybody can make constand 3s and mostly everyone can do super good dunsk if there dunk rating is above 5 , even if you can't do dunks , the non-dunks can do super good layups. There only really 2 modes , the basketball part and the create a player mode where you create players (well duh). This game might of been a little better if they let you play more then 2 people on a team , but its still a very good game.

Sound
The sound is also ok in this game , but the anouncer may get on your nerves because he keeps on repeating the same thing over and over again. The music is good to since it flows with the speed of the game. I don't know how basketball games can have bad sound in the first place since all it is , is the sound of dribbling the ball or music and maybe the crowd , but I went over it anyway.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer in this game is really good , very good for parties , hanging out with your friends , or if you have alot of brothers and sisters. I would suggest your team-mate be very good or you would get beat and beat badly in this game. This game is also great to show off your super dunks to your friends.

Create-A-Player Mode
The create-a-player mode is also good in this game. It has alot of choices. You can pikc the head , skin color , jersey , and ability for your player. They even let you pick mascots and animals for your created players. You also can pick from any team jersey to put on your basketball player.

Replay Value
The replay value in this game is somewhat good , though I suggest you like basketball if your going to buy this game , since thats really all you can do (not like other games where you can manage a team and such).
Like I said before you would play this game more if you had brothers or sisters.

Buy or Rent
I would buy if you are a hardcore basketball fan and rent if you just want to try it out or having a party with video games. I give this game a 7.
