Phantasy Star Online
Review by Majoras ocarina
"Possibly the best game in RPG history....."
Gameplay: This game is not like a classic RPG game. It's more like Final Fantasy and Diablo combined. The gameplay was designed to be the give the player a more feel for easy button presses, and not those x-a-y-b combinations.I mean hey, your surrounded by 10-15 enemies, how are you going to remember anything? 9/10
Story: The story is sort of like armeggedon and earth, the earth is facing destruction from an unknown force, and we set search for a new planet. We send the first manned space ship Pioneer 1 on to find a suitable planet for living. We find one, and we then begin the construction of the central dome. Seven years later send out the first wave of refugees on Pioneer 2. Suddenly, when we establish communications with the central dome and Pioneer 1, a huge explosion occurs. You job is to find out what happened to the men and women of Pioneer 1.......7/10
Sound: Well let me tell you that the music of this game will keep you playing forever! The music of this game keeps you
seranaded with smooth and pleasuring sounds of the piano, harp, trumpet, and even the saxophone.9/10
Replayabilty: The replayability of this game will keep you busy with over 900 hours of straight gameplay. You start as level one, and to help you defeat bosses, enemies, and other various things, you will need to level up.The main point of the game is too find out what happened to the men and women on ragol, but there are many side - quests you can join. Some quests require you too find thins, while others require you too defeat many enemies. If you don't choose to do a quest, you can play out the levels, the first is the forest, which has many enemies too defeat in it. I personally think you'll have fun defeating the boss of this level as he is very fun and unigue.10/10
To buy or to rent? Now this is not a very hard choice to make, but if you haven't heard enough about this game, you should know. Buy this game as soon as you can! Even if this game doesn't satisfy your tastes, it comes with a nice Sonic Adventure Two demo disk for your enjoyment. If you don't buy this game, or can't, try renting it for a few days, it is definitly the best Role Playing Game in my opinion.
